The safe, code-approved way to provide emergency power to your home or business during a power outage. The proper connection between a portable generator and selected circuits in a load center allows the user to efficiently and easily operate appliances such as a furnace, refrigerator, sump pump, TV, well pump, lights and more. Power can be manually transferred for each appliance independently at users choice without danger of backfeeding the electrical utility. "Transfer Switch is great. Wires up easily and works even better. Took approximatly 3 hours to install, figuring where to mount and what to power. I had to run additional conduit to another box (main and sub) however other than that unit was complete, directions clear and easy to understand. Other than a fully automatic transfer switch, this is a great investment if you wish to power your house with a generator. I might have purchased a whole house transfer switch (100amp) had I known the house uses less than I had anticipated (would have to turn items such as the stove/whole house ac) off, but would have been more convienent. Great product and even better company!"

"Outstanding product, easy to install and use. We live on the eastern plains of Colorado and the weather can get a little hairy. This usually results in power outages for periods of time. We wanted something that was easy and above all safe to use for us and the children. We never thought that we would get stuck in town with the kids out at the house. Well it happened. The girls called and told us that the power had gone out, but, they had the house up and running. It was a great feeling to know they were OK. Since we have owned the transfer switch we have used it with our Briggs and Stratton Generator about 5 times. It runs the entire house with the exception of a few unimportant circuits. We can run the Well pump, furnace, refrigerator, and my favorite, the circuit that controls the coffee pot ! With no problem. A must have if power outages are a problem"

"If you are going to use a generator as a secondary power at your home or farm and integrate it into an existing panel, this device is the way to do it. It is relatively easy to install but you will need some basic electrical knowledge. Don't try to make one!! It is too difficult and will cost you dearly in time and parts. The switch is a well constructed, absolutely essential, piece of electrical interface equipment. I like the color coding of the switches and the wires. Watt meters are a must for load balance and initial hook up testing. (i.e. you know what you really have on THAT circuit. No guessing!) Makes a safe and professional looking installation."

"I purchased one a while ago. It sat in the box for a time frame. We finally lost power one day. I ran extension cords all over the house, even into the basement. Power came on about 6 hours later. Two days after that, power went out again. I said forget it. I tripped the main breaker and wired in the transfer switch. It took about 2 hours to complete this task. Hooked up the generator to switch and I was back in the lights again. Now when we lose power, I wheel the generator over to basement window, hook into switch and have power. No more fighting the orange power cord spaghetti mess anymore."

"Had transfer switch installed by electrician in less than three hours for $225. It works perfectly with my 5,500 watt portable generator. Very simple to operate. In the past I had to run numerious extension cords through out my hourse when we lost power. Wow, how convenient not to have to do that anymore! Almost looking forward to bad weather to try it out for real!"
