"This is a very good compressor for operating nail guns, staple guns, brad nailers and even framing nailers. I've used it for all of these jobs. Lightweight, durable and holds pressured in transit."

"It came with all the needed accessories. Once it met the max PSI, it can be carried to air up a tire or other inflatable objects. Has a fast recycle time and is compact enough to store easily."

Excellent Homeowner Accessory,

"Since buying this compressor 6 months ago, I've been kicking myself for not buying it sooner. I bought the compressor as part of a kit, including finish and brad nailers, and a narrow crown stapler. The unit has performed flawlessly. The noise level is moderate, and once the compressor has reached operating pressure at 150psi, it runs only intermittently for short periods. I tend to operate the guns and stapler at around 90-100psi, so it takes some time before the tank needs to refresh. When purchased as part of the kit, the compressor is an exceptional value, but even at Northern Tool's stand-alone price its a good deal."

Reliable, easy to use, very portable,

"This compressor has been great for odd jobs and weekend projects. I have used it with finish/brad nailers quite a bit and have been extremely pleased. The CFM required for a framing nailer is a little higher, so you have to remember that it will cycle much more often. Not a problem for the occasional project, but I wouldn't use it with a huge nailer all day every day. Size and weight are perfect to use in the house, carry up stairs, etc."

Porter-Cable air compressor,

"I needed a small air compressor to use with my air-brush painter, but I didn't want to have to use ear plugs. This pancake air compresser delivers the air I need without the high noise. It's very compact and easy to carry with me. It's also great for filling tires, balls and just about anything else around the place.
It's a great little compressor."

Terrible reliability issues, not recommended,

"We bought one of those for work to power up mainly nailers.
Worked okay for a few months and then had a small crack created in the pump which effectively killed it.
Having had a good experience with a different (oil lubed) PC compressor we thought this was just a one in a million defective piece and bought another one to replace it.
What a mistake!
Not even four months later we had the same crack occuring in the brand new compressor!
We will surely NOT buy another one of those PC pancakes.
Save your money, buy the small Ingersoll rand twin hot dog - I've had one of those running GREAT for some time now while seeing much rougher life than the PC pancake."

Porter-Cable Workhorse Compressor,

By HandyMiltie from Monroe, OR
"This compressor is an absolute workhorse. It powers all of my nailers, from my 18ga brad nailer to my slant load framing nailer.
I have even used it to power my HVLP sprayer and my spray texture gun.
Granted the later make it work hard, but it seems to be up to the task.
I have owned this compressor for three years now and have had absolutely no trouble with it, and I work it hard.
All around this is a great piece of equipment."
