Great compact unit

"Have been using the waterboss 700 for over 2 years now. Not a single problem in a 3 person household with relatively hard (softener set at 24 grains) well water. The well also outputs very rusty water. We use standard rust removing salt in the softener and the water comes out crystal clear.
I replaced all the water lines, water heater, holding tanks, toilets, faucets, and shower heads at the time I installed the waterboss. The PEX water lines after the softener are still clear as the day they were installed. However the PEX lines coming into the softener were rust colored within 3 days after installation. This shows how well the softener is working. All sinks, toilets, and shower heads show no calcification or rust staining even after 2 years.
The computer controls on the softener are extremely easy to use and understand. The softener can easily be changed between modes or for manual regeneration. I have found the auto settings to be completely adequate from the factory though. The single tank unit is a plus in the size department. Easy to fill with salt also. The built in self cleaning sediment filter eliminates the need for any additional sediment filtration that would otherwise be required for water with sediments.
Installation should be very easy for someone with basic plumbing knowledge and/or possibly willing to learn a little bit. I have a friend with no official plumbing experience and he installed the unit very easily."
