Temp Work

" I'm fixing up a swimming pool and I already had it drained, but rain water would build up in it and so I bought this pump to get the rain water out. I made sure that the pump never ran dry and would only run for a few hours at a time. After 2 months, and with about 40 hours of run time on the pump, it died.
Pros:
While it worked, it pumped water out very quickly.
Cons:
It died after about 40 hours of run time.

Poor Quality Construction

" I purchased 2 of these pumps. In both cases the bottom screen cracked and pieces fell off - causing the pump to easily clog. If this part was better made these would have been an excellent buy - but with a broken bottom screen they are only good for picking up clear water. "

" I am very disappointed in this pump. The propeller on the shaft stripped out not long after beginning to use the pump and parts are not readily available so I have to disgard the whole pump. "

" In the last two days this pump has quit working twice. I have had to take the bottom off and turn the shaft. Then it will run again. "

Pool Cover Pump

,
July 10, 2007

" This pump is listed for use as a pool cover pump. The discharge location is not
visible to the buyer. When utilized as a swimming pool cover pump, the weight
of the discharge hose coming out of the top, pulls the pump over resulting in a
poor position to get the maximum amount of water off the pool cover. A Large
base plate, attached to the base of this pump will keep the pump in an upright
position for a good pumping position. Other than this poor discharge location I
found the pump worked well to remove water off my swimming pool cover.
