Works Good, but leaks,

"The pump is excellent, but the discharge hose fittings on both ends leak (drip) no matter how tight the clamp is tightened. I have added another clamp to each end which helps, but still have an occasional drip."

"hoses leak poor quality clamps, rubber insulators on battery clips fell off, power cables could be a bit longer for pump to sit on ground from a p/u truck. generallly satisfied."

"This is a great little pump to transfer WVO hot or cold. The fuse and fuse holder are underated and will need to be replaced with a larger guage wire but works perfect after that."

Great portable pump!!,

"I love this pump,it's very light and portable.The pump is a bit noisy,but really gets the job done quick.The only draw back is when you release the nozzle while filling,the pump jumps with the change in pressure,so you have to make sure it doesn't vibrate off of where you have it sitting.I give this pump overall an A+ ,I would buy it again for sure!!!"

Not for Grease unless it's hot...,

"I bought this to transfer wvo and it just couldn't handle it. I have to heat the grease up before this will move it and then the hoses that are supplied don't handle heat so they collapse. This would probably be great for diesel but if you're planning on using it for grease find something a little stronger."

"This pump is only good for clean fluid in warm weather. The rotory-gear pump jams up too easily. I'm already looking for a diaphram pump to replace it.
If you try using this pump below 70degrees, it will blow a fuse every 30sec. or so, due to thicker fluid.
If the strainer gets even a partial clog, the fuse will blow with no warning. Carry a whole box of fuses with you when operating this pump.
The hoses refuse to loose the memory of being coiled up in a box. It's a constant battle with the hoses rolling up as you're trying to use them. I've hung them in the sun, & put a heat gun to them and still they roll up as if they were manufactured to be that way!
The hoses are too short...not by much, maybe 2ft longer on each end to make up for the constant coiling.
The power cord is too short. Double the length...12ft long would be about right. I could replace the cord &/or the hoses with the length I need, but for the cost of the unit, shouldn't it already be that way?
The pump is prone to falling off any table or flat surface you put it on. I think mostly because of the coiled hoses pulling on it. If I planned on further use of this pump, I would mount it to some plywood & weights to give it some stability!"

"This is a great product for transfering diesel at a great price. It is meant to be transportable. I have found that taking it from site to site leaves a bit of a mess, even if being careful. I have used it for 3-4 months and never had a problem with pumping diesel. It primes right away and pumps fast (50 gallon tank in about 5-10 minutes). I have a goldenrod water block filter attached to it, and it does not make any difference with pressure or time."

"this pump is awesome. the unit worked beyond my expectations. i used it to transfer heating oil from one tank to another. it took me longer to set up than to dispense 125 gallons of fuel. the only thing is the on-line catalog and the paper catalog price was was cheaper than the actual store price. but, still worth the money."

D/C fuel pump With hose & handle,

"Great pump have two of them for WVO. the only problem is the fuse it just is to small. I have removed it on both pumps. they have been working now for a year. Pumped at least 1200 gal. with both. They slow down when you get in the thick grease but keep working. great little pump!!!!"

"both myself and a friend purchased one of these pumps last year and the brushes wore out in both of them in about 5-8 months and the on-off switch burned out in my friends. when I tried to get parts I the bruhes were unavailable, all they could sell me was a new motor."
