"I have recently purchased the northstar 30 ton log splitter and I must admit it was a terrible buy. After assembling the splitter both tank fittings leaked hydrolic fluid. Also The piston and the beam are much to heavy for the frame, legs and hinges to support. The outrigger legs are very hard to work with especially in the yard on uneven surfaces. If the center of the splitter was pushed forward then it would be a decent machine. This splitter is not user friendly. Only thing good about this machine is the Honda motor which can be found on cheaper easier to use log splitters"
