"Bolted right on to my craftsman mower. Had to remove the seat adjuster but never used it anyway.The Gator seat is very comfortable compared to the original. Good price and delivery time."

"I HAD TO DRILL TWO HOLES IN MY SEAT MOUNTING BRACKET TO FIT THE BOLT PATTERN BUT WAS A SIMPLE THING TO DO. WAS ONLY OFF ABOUT 3/4" ---- OTHER WISE A GREAT SEAT FOR THE MONEY THE HIGH BACK MAKES IT EASIER TO RELAX ALSO."

"GREAT replacement seat.
Outstanding Value - at more than 50% LESS than the "name brand" seat.
Fantastic factory replacement seat, complete oem-bolt-in replacement (you do need to buy new bolts), which actually has more support and is more comfortable than the original seat it replaced.
Highly recommended for "John Dear" replacement seats."

"I purchased the gator seat for my yardman riding mower.The mower came with a low seat that was very uncomfortable as it had very little padding and a very low back height.i saw the gator seat on your site and saw that it had a great deal of padding and a high back portion to the seat .To say that i am pleased is an understatement.Once i installed the seat which was very easy due to the multiple mounting holes . I instantly felt the results of the extra padding and high back portion of the seat. I have low disc and low back problems and pretty uneven and rough ground that i mow.after installing the seat my low back pronblems were greatly reduced while mowing..The only real draw back to the seat that i found is that the mounting screws which hold the fiberglass back to the padding were too short and so i had to install longer screws to make the seat secure and usable"

"when installing, the original bracket for the gator did not line up properly with the new seat. after leaving off a few parts it did work fine. good seat and so much cheaper than john deere's version"

"I bought these seats for my Gator and had problems right away. They started falling apart in no time, and aren't made well at all. My gator is not used on a daily basis (maybe weekly), so there would be no reason for this problem other than poor workmanship. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra to get the original seats."

"I have an old Bolens 1700Hydro and the seat was not much more than duct tape. I also was looking for a seat that was higher on the back than the original to help reduce back fatigue while mowing. This seat is very comfortable with the added benefit of fitting the mounting slots on the seat support perfectly. The only thing that I would change is the color, that I accomplished with vinyl dye (black) from an auto restoring supplier. Now It Is Perfect!"

"The A&I gator seat is much less expensive than a John Deere original. Installers must beware that the original mounting bolts cannot be used with the A&I gator seat and you will most likely have to file the metal slots wider on your gator to match the A&I gator seat blind nuts. The original John Deere seat nuts are anchored into the molded seat bottom. The A&I seat nuts are not. If you cannot finger tighten all four of the seat bolts before you put a wrench on them, STOP. You will strip out the A&I seat nuts and they are not recoverable. The seat also lacks a drain hole like the original so water and other debris will accumulate on the seat if left out."

"This seat was installed on a warehouse forklift, which is used outside daily but kept indoors. From the start the seat material was difficult to keep in the plastic base. Within the first months of light use, the material was crumbling. SEE PHOTO --- and yes the seat started out as the yellow material."

"The seat is coming apart/ unglued, from the top and down on both sides of the seat and the back is coming apart, I saved money buying this seat and now I'm going to place an order to the manufactor for a new factory replacement, So in the long run, nope correct that, "short run" as it has only been on the tractor a short 2 months."

"Mounted this on my JD 445 but had to make an adapter plate to do this. It looks and feels like the original. Also the mounting threaded holes are SAE not Metric."

"I love these seats we attached them and they bolted up just fine dont over tighten or the wing nut on the inside will become loose but these actually sit nicer than the ones that came with our gator they sit higher in the back also verry nice you wont be dissapointed at all"

"Gator owners, be not afraid this seat will work great.
I was a little skeptical as all the previous reviews were for lawn tractor replacements and I needed to replace an actual to goodness John Deere Gator seat. This seat turned out to be just a little larger than the original drivers side sear, but it aligned and fit perfectly after all. And what a value compared to the OEM replacement that would have been at least 3-4 times as expensive and customer ordered by s/n.
The only issue was the OEM equipment used metric hardware and this seat requires user supplied SAE hardware. Not a big deal, but was a surprise."
