"I bought this for my 18' car hauler...I also made a frame for it and bolted the winch to the frame...I place that on my car hauler and bring the cable end to the front of the car - hook it up and away I go...this winch works perfectly for what I needed and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs some serious pulling power."

"Looked all over for a winch that would hold a decent amount of cable. I have this mounted on one roof support of my dock, running a diagonal "stabilizing" line to keep things aligned perpendicular to the shore in stiff winds. Previously I had to fight with tying and untying ropes and fighting the wind. Now I just go down and adjust this winch with a few turns and straighten things back out. I did have to modify the mounting holes for my application (needed to align with 2 "U" bolts around the roof support), but comes with adequate mounting holes for most applications."
