I highly recommend this product!
- Color is really red-orange more red than orange
- Missing flat washers for steering wheel, instructions said need these specifically, only had the lock washers
- Should have provided bracket/screw and cable stop for throttle w/ better instruction, had to go to kart shop to get instruction and parts
- Brakes are weak"

Stingray Go Kart - Bargain for the Money,

"I purchased the Stingray Go Kart about 6-8 weeks ago , and it was a breeze to assemble , I had to buy a kit to adapt throttle cable with,from Northern , but it was easy to install as well , and this machine is easily a bargain for the price, well built ,and reliable,and in my opinion the way to go if you are in the market for a Go Kart ,you can't go wrong with this purchase........"

Great Cart for the Money,

"I looked around (on-line) at a lot of kits and this was by far the cheapest one I found. I probably wouldn't have bought it if it hadn't been for the positive reviews. Anyway, the packaging was pretty awful. Parts were sticking out everywhere and the freight company managed to lose it for over a day.
But, once I pulled the cart out, I was impressed. The cart is very sturdy and well made. It's also almost totally assembled. It took me about an hour to assemble everything except for the motor and that took another 30 minutes.
The cart is short which is nice because my 6 and 10 years olds can reach the pedals. The directions are not great but they were enough to guess my way through.
By the way, this kits has EVERYTHING you need except a motor. I was under the impression I need to buy a chain for it. Don't ask me why. But, I didn't need one."

decent gokart,

"This is a good beginners gokart for kids and adults. The ad does not correctly state what all good things come with this kart. There is a kill switch on the dash. Brake and gas pedals with cables. The brake is a band brake that will do an okay job for stopping. The weld are strong and so is the bracing in the corners, etc. It took me about 2 hours to uncrate and assemble the roll cage, tires, etc. For the most part the kart is delivered fully assembled.
The front end use tie rods as the steering linkage which was a surprise.
The motor plate has two bolts that can be used as a tensioner in making sure there the chain will be tight enough.
I have a Tecumseh engine on order and hope to have it installed shortly. Also the gas cable has a plain end with no barrel/connector attached. So you will need a cable stop in order to crimp onto the cable to attach to a Tecumseh engine."

"We bought this go kart a little skeptical thinking that it would probably be made cheap but we were deffinately wrong !!! It was made of very sturdy materials and it included everything that we needed to get it going except for the motor in which we knew. My son and husband put this thing together motor and all in less than a half a day!! our whole family enjoys riding on it the grandkids just love it !!, the seat belts makes it so we don't have to worry about them falling out.Our family has recommended this product to alot of people and they can not believe it was so reasonably priced.Thanks Northern Tool for carrying such quality products!!"
