Keep clear

" first time out of the box set this up to straight pull a 3200 lb weight on a slick flat surface, winch started to pull and then the case and internals disintegrated. All plastic housing, cheap materials and certainly not up to pulling 5K straight. On the flip side Northern Tool customer service was responsive and issued a return and refund. I will continue to shop with them but buyer beware of this junky unit. "

Back Saver

" I recently bought and used this product 2 haul a Zero Turn mower with frozen wheels. onto a trailer. The Wheels were frozen and this made moving it so easy and effortless. A real back and time saver since we didn't have 2 Push and Pull it onto the trailer. Glad I bought and had it. "

Life Saver

" I bought this winch to mount on a car hauler trailer. While hunting I sunk my 7,000 lbs. new Avalanche 1 mile into a swamp. I hauled my Kabota tractor out there to pull it out & sunk it beside the Avalanche in the same creek. No one would help me other than a $400.00 bulldoser. We tried come alongs, 4 wheelers, a motor hoist & chains for a week. Finally this winch came in. I chained the winch high in a tree & literally lifted the tractor out of the creek. Then I was able to pull the Avalanche out with the winch & my tractor. No harm done to my new truck or the tractor. A Life Saver. I have pictures of this. "

Great dock winch

,
August 13, 2012
By Dulcimera
from Wisconsin
" We live on the Mississippi River and this year we had to move our 45 ft. dock multiple times to accommodate the river's level. We use this winch to pull in the dock when the river rises (our boat pulls the dock out when it falls) and it has been a great performer. No obvious straining, even on an uphill incline. We mounted the winch down at the beach and keep it and a marine battery with a solar charger down there at all times. All but the solar charger are covered to protect them from the elements. This was a great buy! "
