Did my homework and reasonably satisfied

"I truly read a bunch of reviews before buying a tow behind spreader for spreading fertilizer on my 3 acres - 3 point hitch spreaders were too expensive so I wanted a tow behind.
Good things about this spreader after 1st use: 1) Easy to clean up after use 2) reasonably light weight to pull around and store 3) fed fertilizer nicely until completely empty 4) large rubber wheels never skip or drag 5) solid construction
What I don't like about this spreader: 1) tight fit fit to tractor bouncing between 3 pt hitch prongs so very limited turning radius - likely made for non 3 pt hitch tractors even though I have small Kubota BX 2360. I actually bent a cross support on the unit making a tight turn. 2) Can't use hitch bar for 3 pt hitch because then you can't reach control lever from seat with unit trailing so far behind. 3) flow control knob has clear plastic numbers you can't see - I used a sharpie to darken numbers so they are readable. 4) if you throw control lever to hard it will go too far and ride under the flow control knob overriding your setting (and use too much fertilizer too fast). You need to have on/off lever very tight so bumps don't disengage it. Plastic setting knob should be metal and engage and lock in firmly. 5) One time assembly of the unit was quite a chore, be patient and be ready ready for a good hour+ to set it up. A pin would not fit through the axle so I had to hone it out wider with a drill to make the pin go through.
So ok, this thing will take some practice to perfect its use but yes it does the job and seems sturdy. I'd really like to use it from the 3pt hitch bar but then I will need to extend the on/off lever some way and then learn not to throw the lever too hard to the 'on' position.
Hope this helps."
