"I purchased this item for a boat lift. It does the job with ease. It was easy to install You have a choice to either use a single hook or double it to get the full rating. The speed is fast but you can slow it down. It can be used for many things. You can lift small equipment. You can raise a riding lawn mower to work on blade or change oil. Just rember the capacity and use to do endless projects"

"We bought this hoist for our shop to aid in lifting heavy glue laminated stair stringers. Worked great right out of the box. We use the double line to slow down the speed and it is very easy to "bump" the control to get just the right setting."

"This item did just what I expected it to. It was easy to install, and easily adapted to mount anywhere. It had plenty of power for a 110v electric hoist. Even though I didn't use it for any real heavy lifting, I never had any problems with overheating or product failure. I'd recommend it to anyone."

Great hoist, strong, but short control cable,

"Like everyone else, I love the hoist. It lifts my large equipment up while I move away the create, and lower on to wheeled dollies. I can run my warehouse to unload truck load of crates by myself that used to be struggle at times with 3 guys.
Very powerful, and easy controls.
Control wire is only about 6 feet long, but I have it mounted on the truss that is about 18 feet up. So, I extended the control cable with another heavy gauge insulated wire by another 18 feet. I wish there was an available option for extended control.
The safety mechanism triggers often when the load is not directly below the hoist. It is a hassle to try to keep it lined up since these are heavy loads.
Overall great very and good work horse. I recommend it."

Can't beat it, especially for the price,

"I build ATV's and OHV's and this was the perfect option. I use it in my shop to lift the crated equipment while I remove the crates and build out the vehicle. The heaviest I have lifted so far was about 1000 pounds and this thing lifted it like it was nothing. The cable did fray quickly, which is normal for this type of equipment, but after replacing it with a synthetic rope it works perfectly."

"Well built winch. Runs very smoothly. Nice safety features: The winch shuts down before the load can be spooled into the cable drum and the winch cannot be operated without first pressing the safety button. Easy to install using the provided clamps but will also mount easily to any suitable flat surface. I'm lifting an average load of about 300 to 400 pounds. The motor isn't even working hard. If you are looking for a nice winch, this is it."
