Warn atv winch

"I Installed my winch on a Kawasaki Prairie 360. I have used it with a plow for 2 years, and when there is no snow on the ground I use it for pulling trees after cutting them down. I have used it to pull my Atv and my son's Atv up a steep trail. The winch has worked everytime I needed it. The best advice I can give is to connect the winch to the battery as directed, and to unwind the cable before each use to check for damage, then rewind being very careful not to get caught in the cable."

"I purchased the Warn RT30 after wearing out my Superwinch 2000. I use it for my blade and when in heavy mud. After using the new Warn RT3000 a couple of hours, It would not winch in after using the freewheel function. I had to return it to an authorized Warn repairman for repairs. Later in the year, I had to cross a small creek and got stuck. I hooked up the trusty winch to get out, and, low an behold, It would not work. It winched until the cable was tight, then stopped all together.
I would not recommend this winch to anyone."

"In the manual it says after turning the winch from freewheel to locked position give the cable a tug and you will feel the gears mesh together. Then you are ready to winch the load. Didn't specify if the gears were the problem or the electric motor quit."

"I use this winch on a yamaha grizzly for my, plow, dump bucket, and occasionally when we get stuck playing in the mud. this is a very powerful unit and fast. No more waiting to raise and lower equipment. I had a steel cable break (from repeated equipment use) and the customer service department at warn are awsome to deal with. a replacment was sent out with no questions asked."

"Only reason I gave (4) starts was because the U-bolts for the relay didn't fit the tubing on my '06 Kawasaki Brute Force 750 properly (had to order longer U-bolts from mcmaster).
Install was easy, and the winch works great. The wired remote is handy, but I have only used it to make sure it works (was pulling some fallen trees off a trail).
Will definitely buy another one if/when I get another ATV."
