not sure how well they work, but will try again,

"they are an inexpensive alternative, but not sure how good they actually aerate, the straps are a bit tricky to get right, and they could probably use lock nuts on the spikes, because they get loose and become more trouble than work, all that said, i will probably give them another shot and see if there's any improvement in the lawn"

Needs custom adapting to fit large shoes,

"Straps are too small for my size 13 shoe. Found that using self tapping screws to attach sandals to the bottom of my boots worked very well. Two into heal lip and two up into soles at edges of the ball of foot. Sandals are very much more secure this way than with straps and can easily be removed by backing out the screws."

Aerator Shoes Field Test,

"I had heard of Aerator Shoes before marketed through another retailer so, when I added these to my catalog purchase recently I was eager to try them out on my lawn first.
I worked them over my yard for about an hour and a half... got some good exercise to boot. I left town and returned about a week ago.
After about 2 weeks i can definitely discern a difference in overall grass root spread, division and growth that i attribute to the stimulation given by the action of the aerator shoe spikes."

"This is a cheap product. The straps don't hold your feet well and the holes it leaves are too small to make a difference."

Aerator Shoes,

"This product works good on small yards. I slip mine on when I am seeding the yard, cutting grass with the push mower or fertilizing the yard. After a good rain the shoes will penetrate the yard better."
