Master Lock 12V DC Portable Winch,October 19, 2009
By Anonymousfrom Concord, New Hampshire
"I use this winch to load and unload my 24 foot pontoon boat and pull up my dock for the winter. It is the best purchase I could have made. It is very affordable, portable and more powerful than imaged. I have used the winch for many other applications as well and it's never failed to complete the job at hand. I would recommend it highly for a variety of applications where portability is required. It's a great addition to my tool box. R Merrill"

Well worth the price,August 26, 2009
By Hiramfrom Western N.Y.
"I wanted to get some tree tops closer to the logging road to cut up for firewood. With all the rain we've had my full size pickup got stuck in the mud and I couldn't move it. The very first time I used this was to pull that pickup out of the mud and it did it beautifully. After that I pulled four tree tops out. Well worth the investment. Oh, I purchased a battery to use independent of the truck battery and that worked great. Could move the winch where ever I wanted."

MASTERLOCK PORTABLE WINCH,July 21, 2009
By Possumknotfrom Southeast
"This is a negative review for this winch.
Plastic case is too fragile. Breaks to easily easily.,
Relay burn out when under a load for extended time, two or three times of use pulling 3/4 cable length.
Winch runs too slow."

Portable Winch,July 14, 2009
By JWlesfrom Connecticut
"For the money, this little winch has done a great job for me. It does a good job of helping pull small vehicles from sticky situations. I have mounted it on my tractor and have used it to pull logs up hills and out out of the woods. I've attached it to trees and used it to persuade them exactly where I want them to fall when cutting. The long remote control is great when you want to get up close to check on a load or get far enough away for safety."

"this little winch has come in more handy than I could of ever expected from pulling cars, and tool boxes on to my flat bed to being the best fence puller I have ever had, because of its size I am always finding new uses for it on my property."

Ice Storm Aftermath,March 23, 2009
By cmdjdfrom Lancaster, KY
"I had fifty-two trees uprooted or cracked. This winch while slow is very easy to use and performs as advertised. It has pulled all of them into an area where I can cut them to fire wood. Well worth the money. It has the advantage of pivoting to the right pulling angle on a hitch ball."

Master Lock Winch,March 23, 2009
By Rentalroosterfrom Hope Mills, North Carolina
"This is an excellent winch.I use it to pull boats onto trailers & cars onto dollies. It hasn't let me down. This winch is worth what you pay for it. The only complaint that I have is that it should come with two mounting plates."

Wont be without!,October 4, 2008
By icheap2from MI
"I've had this little wonder for years and have used it on many jobs around the house. With the trailer hitch attachment it goes from vehicle to vehicle including my quad and 3 wheeler. Really haven't found anything it wouldn't pull. Speed isn't as important as being able to move things so this unit is the one I will replace if it ever dies."

Excellent for its specifications,August 18, 2008
By fprod64from Knoxville, TN
"I bought this winch to load a small race car into a closed trailer. It has proven to be an excellent choice. It's compact design and detachable mounting plate make it very convenient to mount and store when not in use.
On the negative side for my personal use I would prefer shorter battery leads about 5 ft vs. 10 ft, and longer control leads up to 20 ft. to be closer to the load I am moving."

Little winch,August 11, 2008
By BruceAfrom NH
"Love it. Although slow (one inch per second??) it pull s my race car into the trailer just fine. Because it is a low draw unit I can power it from a spare tiny 18 Amp Hour 12 gell battery I have around and not connet to the truck battery.
No moe hernias."

Portable Winch,April 14, 2008
By Lou2from Manistee National Forest, Michigan
"I use my portable winch to pull my snow plow off the snow drifts when I get stuck. We get a lot of lake effect snow here in the Manistee National Forest, and the drifts get pretty high at times. I have even used it to pull trees over."

"I've had this winch for a few years now and it is great for smaller pulling. I have used it to pull out small to medium tree stumps or to pull trees over to cut them down. This is a great winch for the money!"

Pulling Power,January 16, 2008
By NuWayfrom Wooster, OH
"We use these winches to pull roofing elaminator carts. So far they have done an excellent job and done everyhting that we have asked of them. What they are doing is no easy task for any winch. Many times these roof carts do not pull evenly from top to bottom, sometimes putting them in a bind. Other winches we have used have burnt up on the first job under these conditions. So far we are very pleased with these winches."

By upnorth41from Great Lakes, Michigan
"We found the winch was easy to get used to and use..love the ability to simple put over hte existing hitch on my truck to use from there without having to mount onto the truckbed. It seems to have plenty of power but will know more next summer when we really put it to use with our boats, Shipping was fast and well packed, thank you, Carl and Maxine"
