"This is the winch I've been looking for. The price was right and it seemed suited for what it's main purpose was to be. I have five acres of land next to my home where there were many ice-storm damaged trees. Some of them were still quite tall so the ability to pull a tree in the right direction was important so they wouldn't get hung up on good trees.
I put the winch, chain, cable and a fully charged boat battery into my yard cart and go to the tree. I could use my car and its trailer hitch in some cases but so far that hasn't been necessary. I bought the optional snatch block and it has taken a lot of stress out of this job.
It's not real fast, but for the money it would be hard to beat.
Winter will be here soon here in central NH and I'm sure it will come in handy for other things too."

"I use this winch to load and unload my 24 foot pontoon boat and pull up my dock for the winter. It is the best purchase
I could have made. It is very affordable, portable and more powerful than imaged. I have used the winch for many other applications as well and it's never failed to complete the job at hand. I would recommend it highly for a variety of applications where portability is required. It's a great addition to my tool box.

MASTERLOCK PORTABLE WINCH,

"This is a negative review for this winch.
Plastic case is too fragile. Breaks to easily easily.,
Relay burn out when under a load for extended time, two or three times of use pulling 3/4 cable length.
Winch runs too slow."

"this little winch has come in more handy than I could of ever expected from pulling cars, and tool boxes on to my flat bed to being the best fence puller I have ever had, because of its size I am always finding new uses for it on my property."

"I bought this winch to load a small race car into a closed trailer. It has proven to be an excellent choice. It's compact design and detachable mounting plate make it very convenient to mount and store when not in use.
On the negative side for my personal use I would prefer shorter battery leads about 5 ft vs. 10 ft, and longer control leads up to 20 ft. to be closer to the load I am moving."

Little winch,
August 11, 2008
"Love it. Although slow (one inch per second??) it pull s my race car into the trailer just fine. Because it is a low draw unit I can power it from a spare tiny 18 Amp Hour 12 gell battery I have around and not connet to the truck battery.
No moe hernias."

"I've had this winch for a few years now and it is great for smaller pulling. I have used it to pull out small to medium tree stumps or to pull trees over to cut them down. This is a great winch for the money!"

"We found the winch was easy to get used to and use..love the ability to simple put over hte existing hitch on my truck to use from there without having to mount onto the truckbed.
It seems to have plenty of power but will know more next summer when we really put it to use with our boats,
Shipping was fast and well packed, thank you, Carl and Maxine"
