"I use this hoist for just about anything my wife can't help me lift. I hang it over a garage rafter and slide it to where I want it.. When I am done ,I can leave there or take it down and store it."

"Great product. Chain moves easily / smoothly through the mechanism. I've used it on my barn projects to lift generators onto my pick-up with absolutely no concerns. Once done with this easy to use hoist I am able to tuck it away in a drawer. Its a good size. Good for lifting harvested wild game too. The hoist is light enough so my wife can move it without a handling concern. Since my friends saw my hoist they both purchased one as well. Also; I like the operation instruction and spare part nomenclature documentation that's provided.

"Purchased this chain hoist to remove a Mercruiser sterndrive boat engine from a 21 ft. bowrider after building an A frame over the back of the boat on both sides. Worked like a charm, chaining out the old engine and dropping in the new new 350 Mag MPI. Couldn't find a chain hoist locally. Your price was right and I had it in two days."

"this is a great product i, have lifted lawn tractor and septic lid with no effort worth the money. this product doesnt jam the only thing is that u must have some kind of load on the hook to make sure the chain stays lined up but thats common with this type of lift. made well and not very heavy dont know why i didnt order sooner ."

"Used it to take a 550-pound compressor off a pallet. It worked fine, and since then it has been hanging in the center of the garage, ready for other jobs. I also used it to put a 370-pound band saw on a mobile base."

Great little Chain Fall,

"I've been using this little hoist for several months now attached to a 1000lb jib crane. I don't think you can beat it for the price. I've been very happy with its performance. It works smoothly and has functioned flawlessly.
I did run the chains through some mineral spirits to get some of the heavy grease off them so you can handle with bare hands without getting greasy. The chain has not rusted at all since then. It is used inside though."

"This chain hoist works great. I use it to lift my zero turn lawn mower to remove the blades for sharpening. I attached it to a beam in my shop ceiling and the long chain length is very convenient."

"This hoist works like a charm!
I use it to lift the back of my snowmobile.I,am sure that I,am nowhere near its capacity.It goes up almost effortlessly and down the same way.The brake holds perfectly.

Just what I thought,

"I am doing a frame off restoration of my great grandfathers 57 bel air. I need to lift the body of the car off of the frame. I used two of these hoists to do that. I left the body of the car hanging on these hoists for a little over a month. Then I attached the third chain hoist to the second and to the motor and transmission. Everything worked very well. Very easy to use. My 9 year old son lifted one side of the car while I did the other. Great product"

"This hoist is easy to move around, it's simple to hook up, has enough chain for most jobs, and as long as you hang it on something that can take 1000 pounds, it will make light work of lifting that much."

"This hoist was just what I needed and worked better than I expected. I needed a hoist or some other lift to get my 5th wheel hitch loaded into the bed of my truck, but didn't want to spend a ton of money. After checking out many different options, I chose the 1/2 ton chain hoist. I was able to lift my 250 lb. hitch with no problems and with very little effort. I have seen other low cost hoists in the past that looked like they would come apart after the 1st use. The Northern hoist is very sturdy and arrived pre-lubricated for use right out of the box with no assembly required. I was very happy with the item, price and service."

"The chain hoist was perfect for my application. I have a tall ceiling and the chain was plenty long. The hoist isn't too heavy , but it still has the capacity to lift a 1/2 ton."
