My fault

"This product works as stated and does a good job within it's limits. The problem I encountered involves trying to band grade stakes (1"x1"x4') which when bundled into groups of 25 is only 5" wide. This unit does not work well on such a narrow surface.
Trying to bundle a 5" by 5" finished product has not worked well for me using this product. I have used it on bundles of boards that were much wider and it works great .
So, overall great product but with limitations."

"If you hand one of these to someone who's never used it, it's humorous to watch them try! It works quite well though. We have used it for palletizing light steel with no problems. If you're going to do strapping with Plastic, you need one of these!"

Good for a while

"I have four of these. Three are not working. They are fine for the first 3-400 bandings and then they start to fail. A sign of failure to occurr soon is when they they stop working (free wheel) when they are used on their side as if you where placing a banding around the side of a box.
Other than their short useful life, they are fine. But as much as I use then, Northern tool gives me a new replacement every month and if I have to buy one every year it worth it."

"Have been using this tensioner for a number of months to strap flooring bundles and sawmill by products. It is heavy duty and works great. Wouldn't be without one."

"We have two of these in our shop. They have been used on a daily basses for two or more years now. As being in charge of equipment maintenance, I have only changed the cutting blade in one of these. It just flat out works."
