Excellent,January 14, 2008
By retiredmechanicfrom Long Island, NY
"I own two of these and they are amazing jacks! I used to lug around a 100+ pound steel floor jack and dreaded loading it in my truck to do roadside repairs. Loading this jack is simple, and maneuvering it into place is a breeze, all thanks to it's light weight. It lifts fast and is easy to control lowering speed. They are great for getting under low vehicles with flat tires due to the low profile and are durable enough to lift most any vehicle up to a half ton pickup/suv. Anything larger and you'll need a larger jack. The only downside I have found is that my friends like the jack so much, and are too cheap to buy their own, so they always ask to borrow mine."

Race Jack,March 13, 2007
By grammie1from Eaton Rapids, MI
"This aluminum race jack is light weight which makes it easy to handle. It can be picked up and carried around to change from one area to the other. The low weight proved to be the best for working with it. The single piston pump raised the item up with one or two strokes. The pressure stayed in place all the while the aluminum race jack was in place. Works like the jacks used on NASCAR. Goes under objects without much pushing, pulling, when trying to put in place. The aluminum makes it a great weight to work with. Our previous jack was so heavy, that it took more time to move it around than getting the job done. We had previously discussed and looked for an aluminum race jack after the announcers on NASCAR explained what kind of jack the crews were using and how easy it was to move around. Glad you had this jack, it was the first one we had found that was lightweight. I purchased it for my husband for an early Christmas present, with arrival in mid-December. THANKS."

not as good as I had hoped,November 2, 2009
By hookjockeyfrom Fayetteville, NC
"I have rebuilt car engines with only a shop manual to go by, but the instructions for this jack were very confusing. The diagram did not match the description. It takes forever to pump the jack up to the lifting point on the vehicle. It does have a nice design, and I really wanted the lower design since I could not get a normal jack under the ground effects on my wife's car, but the trade off of the lower maximum jacking height makes this a very specialized tool that will only be useful on the lower cars. It will be useless on my higher ground clearance Jeep."

floor jack,November 2, 2009
By rasalfrom port isabel, texas
"i returned a jack about 6 months ago because it would leak at piston everytime i used it. the second jack i recieved started doing the same thing about the 3rd time i used it. this is not a good product. i am not overloading the jack, and i quickly set jack stands under vehicle when i raise it, and release the load also for safety reasons."

"I have two of these, they replaced my steel ones in my mobile automotive van service, very light to pick in and out of the van, easy to drag and position, very fast to pump up. its light weight makes a favorite for all employees, i will invest in more if needed."

jack review,July 23, 2009
By Skippy54from Indianapolis, IN
"I purchased the 1-1/2 ton aluminum jack for occasional use for track days. Nice and light weight, easy to carry but seal failed after only a few uses. I would not recommend if you need to lift 1000 lbs or more."

An excellent floor jack,July 21, 2009
By Jackofrom Long Island, NY
"I have owned this floor jack for 6 years. It still works great. It is easy to carry with me on long trips. It has been very helpful when I have fixed flat tires for a friend. It is well worth the money. Every homeowner needs this in their garage."

11/2 Ton Torin Aluminum Floor Jack,July 13, 2009
By jasyou1616from Conyers, Georgia
"This is an Excellent Jack for any garage, big or small. Whether you make your living turning wrenches or if you're an ocassional oil changer around the house, you'll love this lightweight floorjack. Weigh's at least 1/3 less than you're average steel 11/2 ton floorjack. That mean's it's easier to roll around and to pickup to get in those hard to get to spot's."

Good Aluminum Jack,March 23, 2009
By Spitfiremanfrom Panama City Florida
"First I was quite surprised with the smaller size and weight. The jack has turned into my main jack for quick jobs but I prefer my old jack for heavier jobs. Mechanically it is well built and trustworthy but it does seem to go down a little bit with heavier weight but no leaking out of seals or anything. I would go to longer heavier jack if I had to do over again but price dictates usually."

TIRE REPAIR YES....LIFT YOUR CAR.....NOT SO MUCH,December 16, 2008
By ATMKPNKfrom OAKLAND, CA.
"THIS IS A NICE LITTLE JACK FOR QUICK CORNER LIFTS AND TIRE REPAIR... BUT DON'T COUNT ON IT FOR A FULL SIDE OR FULL END LIFT.... IT JUST DOESN'T HAVE THE POWER TO DO THESE JOBS WITH CONFIDENCE......
I OWN A HONDA S2000 AND IT IS NOT SABLE ENOUGH TO FEEL SAFE CRAWLING UNDER THE CAR....2900# CAR 2500# LIFT.....
BUY THE NEXT SIZE UP FOR ANOTHER 50 BUCKS!!!"

Decent jack,November 18, 2008
By budchevyfrom Charlotte, NC
"I like everything about this jack except the rear casters. If you have any surface that is not 100% smooth, they will drag instead of roll. I also had to get bolts with nyloc nuts to prevent the rear wheels from falling all. The factory bolts would not stay tight."

Usual poor quality Chinese imports,October 5, 2008
By qtrmiler347from Miami, FL
"Upon first use I jacked up the rear of my 5.0 Mustang race car. Should be no more than 1200 pounds. The jack leaked out most of its fluid same day of purchase. Seems like it blew the pump seal. Took it back the same day, got another one. So far, it has lasted through one use. This time around I bought the 2-year extended warranty as I do not trust this jack."

Some Flaws,September 5, 2008
By 1969PontiacAutofrom fond du lac, WI
"I had pruchased one and after a few lifts, it was leaking oil. I callec NH they replaced the jack. I then use second one and had same problem. This time I called the company. They sent me a replacement pump. It took a good 30 min to switch out. I then proceded to tear into the old pump. I found that they had a o-ring at the top of the lift rod that would contact a seal area. The seal area had a chamfer for the o-ring to seat into. After removing the bur from the chamfer are it now works great. So if it leaks oil, work with NH first, then try to see if they can let the company know of its flaws."
