Best drill I've owned

" I've had this drill for 20 years and I've never been dissatisfied. Great power....It never stalls. I cannot do without variable speed. Well-built. Managable size. Original trigger switch and lock was easy to use and smooth. The replacement switch is still easy to use, but is not as smooth. Reversing switch is handy, protected, and works great. "

1/2 in. Makita drill

" I had never used a compact 1/2 in drill until I used a Makita a friend of mine owned, which immediately led me to buy one. The relatively low RPM's, (900), means the gearing is pretty low, which means lots of power.
So far I haven't been stumped with this drill the way I had been once or twice with my old full-sized 1/2 in. drill. If I could find fault with it, it would be that there are no warnings that say "When you have the trigger pulled, hold on, because either the drill bit will turn or you will turn". That's a lot of power.
