It's Too Early for 5 Stars

"Replacement for Craftsman 1.5HP Tablesaw Motor [which hadn't failed, but after 35 yrs, the desire for more power made me do it].
Six months earlier had installed Leeson's #110222 "compressor duty" 3HP [purchased elsewhere] , but it failed after a couple minutes of light duty spread over a month's time and Leeson was of zero help in having it repaired/replaced under warranty. [In my opinion, their local authorized service center wouldn't fess up to burning it up].
Because of Leeson's unprofessional regard for "the little person", I was extremely reluctant to try another Leeson motor; unforfunately, there are few options.
After a give-and-take with Northern on this warranty issue, I took the plunge.
Installation is a breeze [wire nut connections]; finding a new drive sheave [same OD, 7/8 ID vs 5/8 ID] no problem.
Essentially I expect no problems [hopefully not the infant mortality out-of-the-blue I experienced on the first replacement] since, like the original, it has both start and run capacitors and it's TEFC.
Wish Northern had a way of checking back with me in a year to see if rates a 5 or a 1."

"Good motor for the price, plenty of power.
Have yet to slow this motor down, even with 8/4 maple and hickory in my table saw.
