As others have said, the magnets on this one are pretty strong. I also bought another welding magnet from Northern at the same time, and there is no comparison. This one works.

watch yer fingers...

I will admit I tend to use the two of these I have as magnetic holders on my welder for the grounding vise-grip, extra clamps, slag hammer, and any old/unconsumed rods I will use for rough cutting later; BUT they are useful at times and have VERY grabby magnets! Getting them positioned can make you wish for extra hands and steel fingers, and getting em loose can make you curse, but they DO hold.
keep a rubber mallet handy when you wanna use em, it helps, you'll see...

We were pleased with the Wel-Bilt Welding Angle Clamp. It held tight to the project and aided in a successful weld. Its like having two extra hands. The pricing was good, quality was good, shipping was good. Over all a good deal.

I purchased this when I purchased my Hobart Handler 187 and for the money it's a good idea. I've used it to hold 3/8th's metal bars together while I was welding them in place.

Handy Versatile Welding Clamp

This welding clamp comes in handy when you need to hold two pieces of awkward metal together to begin welding. Has a very strong magnet in each half. The unit can be positioned to create almost any angle due to the swiveling capabilities of the tool.
