"I purchased this drill for my home use since my old one has lost the power to brake some tough bolts free. I could not be happier. The 600ft lbs of torque it great. My old one was the same torque, but did not seem to be this good even when it was new. I have suggested it to other because the price is very respectable."

Quiet but under-powered

"I returned this product after the first use. Yes, this impact is very quiet, but it has no power. The first time I used it was to take the wheels off a vehicle. I jacked the vehicle in the air and went to remove the lugs. I was only able to remove 2 out of the 5 lugs (air pressure from 90 to 120 PSI). I had to loosen up the other 3 lugs by hand with a standard ½” Ratchet; I was able to do this while the wheels were still in the air (which means the lugs weren’t on all that tight since the wheel spun as I cracked the lugs loose by hand). If this were a ¼” or even a 3/8” impact, I would be satisfied with the power. If you want your impact to actually be worth the cost; don’t waste your money on this gun!"

"there are reasons why you torque your lug nuts to manufactures specs so this doesn't happen. 600 foot lbs of torque is plenty to take them all off, maybe you should invest in a torque wrench instead..."

"I have had this gun for almost a year and it works great. It is the quietest gun in my arsenal of 5. The only problem is it wouldn't take off a Honda crank pulley. But my 1100 ft lb titanium wouldn't either until I gave it a little persuasion. It is a great gun for the price."

"While the IR impact wrench is quite powerful and is slightly more quiet than my previous impact wrench, I expected more. I was especially disappointed the first time I tried rotating my tires and had to resort to a breaker bar and manually loosen a couple of the lug nuts. I'm not sure what gorilla had tighten the nuts previously but since then, I've not had a problem."

"I HAVE OWNED THIS IMPACT FOR SEVERAL MONTHS NOW AND COULD NOT BE HAPPIER. I USE IT PROFFESIONALLY DAILY AND IT HAS NEVER LET ME DOWN. THE 600 FT. LBS.OF TORQUE ARE VERY IMPRESSIVE. IT OUT DOES WRENCHES OF MUCH HIGHER PRICES. I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMEND IT FOR THE NOVICE TO THE PRO."

"I would recommend this gun to anyone looking for a good gun with a lot of bang for their buck. The gun is not at the top of IR's line, but it is not priced that way either. For someone using this gun non-professionally, meaning weekends and whatnot it is great. I have broken some pretty decent bolts off using this gun and it is very quiet and lightweight. Overall a good gun for the money."

"This is a great impact gun. Quiter then almost any other out there. Its an ingersoll rand so the quality is there. I actually love this gun ever since I bought it but it does have one draw back... Sometimes it wont take out tough bolts. So for an everyday use impact though this is the one to go with. It just doesn't have massive torque... But hey... I still have my hearing becuase of it. I would strongly recomend this item. Just make sure you have another half inch impact for super tough bolts... Such as crankshaft pulley bolts, etc."

"I bought this impact to use on everything. I have found in some crazy instances that it won't break a bolt. But thats ok. It makes up for it by not giving you a head ache. Its insanely quiet. It makes less noise than my cordless drill. Gotta love that. If you want a good all around impact that doesn't cost too much then look no further, this is the one for you....."
