Fast & Easy,
November 2, 2009
By Goldwinger

"I only had a small job to do. Getting the rust off of my patio chairs. After reading the reviews on 3 other less expensive sand blasters I choose this one. It was a little more than I wanted to pay for the size work, but I didn't want the hassles the other reviews talked about. Once I got it and set it up and started to use it the nozzle plugged up. After making some adjustments to the valve at the bottom, I was blasting away and was done it no time. It amazed me how fast and easy it was. Now I don't think I paid to much. It is well worth the money I spent for it."

Blasted the wheels off,
August 11, 2008
By Markie

"This is a great smaller sand blaster. It got the job done, but had a few setbacks. I did a 16' flatbed trailer in my garage and the wheels broke and fell off. They are cheap plastic and need to be better quality. Also, the hose kept getting holes in it at the handle from the sand. I had to keep cutting it off so now I need a new hose. Great pressure and got the job done."

Blaster is only as good as your air supply,
July 19, 2008
By ButchinNJ

"I have a 5 HP single stage compressor with a 60 gallon tank. It is not enough to keep up with the sand blaster. That isn't the blasters fault. All of these blasters and beading cabinets need a lot of air (CFM).
I have had this sandblaster 10 years now and have used it on several projects. I have many hours on this blaster. What I don't like about this blaster is the small hole to pour in the 100 plus pounds of sand. I wish it was much larger. Loading the sand is time consuming and you MUST use the funnel or have sand everywhere. The stand that supports the blaster is weak and flimsy and so is the handle that the wheels are attached to at the bottom. Both have bent from the weight. The water seperator is also cheap but it works. Compressors create a lot of moisture and it will have an affect on the operation.
I have the older gun/valve system which was basically a ball gas valve with a handle that turned the air on and off. There is a ceramic nozzle on one end. It is a simple system but there is NO auto shutoff like the deadman guns. Because of my compressor I use "OO sand which is the finest they sell around here. These ceramic nozzles don't last long. What happens is the sand enlarges the small hole which then kicks out more sand at less pressure which results in a waste of sand.
You must wear a hood or have sand in your hair, ears, teeth and nose. Wear long sleeves because all the sand flying and ricocheting from your project will wear on your skin. When I am done I have sand everywhere.
I paid about $100 for this sandblaster a good 10 years or so ago. It does a good job. Even at the current price to me is worth it. It does blast the paint and rust off the items I've done. Very nice results. But the limiting factor is your compressor. I once had a portable compressor with a 20 gallon tank. It worked but not well. I would like to have a 2 stage but they are much more money. But like I said it is not the blasters fault. You could have a $1500 blaster and your air supply will still be a problem. I am happy with mine and it's a good bang for the buck. I would most definetly buy another one.

Abrasive Blaster Beware!,
June 19, 2008
By ezinoregon
from Oregon
"This thing is total garbage! The "Sturdy" handles are flemsy at best. The real thing is that even with all of the proper nozzles, no matter what kind of media you try to use, it is going to clog on a constant basis. I literally have to stop every few minutes and shake the stupid thing to keep the media flowing. I would advise anyone looking for a sand/media blaster to go with something that is probably more expensive, but you'll be happier you did in the end. You usually get what you pay for. Why do you think this thing is so inexpensive?"

Abrasvie Blaster,
April 21, 2008
By wmmfrench
from Independence, Oregon
"I bought an old boat and needed to take off several layers of marine paint to reach the original gel coat. I tried sanding, paint removers, everything I could think of before purchasing my abrasive blaster. I used the almond chips to keep from blaster through the fiberglass hull and it worked perfectly. The tip had a tendency to clog but I believe that to be primarily due to the size of the abrasive material. Sand being much smaller would not clog as easy. I would definitely recommend this product for all small home projects and even the big ones. Well worth the investment. I now use it for lawn equipment, my RV, rust removal on restoring old metal tools and equipment. ++++"

Excellent portable blasting machine,
April 21, 2008
By nctrains

"I've had this unit for about 3 years and have used it on a wide variety of jobs both in my shop and at remote work locations. It holds enough aggerate for almost any job so constant refilling is not a problem. It is also small enough that it is easily portable by one person. I strongly recommend checking it if you are in the market for a blasting machine."

Rollabout Abrasive Blaster,
April 21, 2008
By dreamchaser
from San Antonio, Texas 78225
"For its size and price this little unit packs a punch. Coupled with a compressor that can maintain a minimum of 90 psi this little unit will strip heavy rust accumulation leaving the metal totally clean and ready for a primer coat. The Deadman Handle provides great control of the spray pattern and gives a consistent blast without clogging. This is a great unit for everyday use that can take care of small, medium and even some big jobs."

Sandblaster,
January 22, 2008
By flyfishnh12003
from Boston, Ma
"From my experience I would not recommend this sandblaster unit. I got this thing and it was great the first 2 times I used it. Then one day the sand just started falling out of the nozzle. The pressure was still there and everything else seemed fine. It was getting enough of all it needed. It would spray hard for about 3 seconds then just dump it out about half the pressure. It was a big disappointment because I had already set my shop up and also broke down the box. I sent it back with hardly any trouble, just make sure to wait for the shipping label from NTE. They did not have a problem taking it back. I don't know if there is a better model out there for similar money or maybe mine was just a lemon. Good luck if you have to get this model, and save your box just incase."

abrasive blaster,

"The blaster is very bad about clogging. If it gets the littlest amount of any moisture in the equipment from condensation it continues to clog up in the bottom fitting. You have to keep hitting the fitting to get it unclogged. It seems the fitting needs to be larger or designed differently?"

"I purchased this unit several years ago and have used it occasionally as needed. Most of my use is smaller jobs but I have done a couple of pieces that required an hour or more of blasting time. The unit works fairly well but is very slow to fill. It does bridge in the tank occasionally but a good kick usually knocks it loose. Flow control is difficult but useable.I bought bagged, graded sand from the lumber yard and found the smallest grade to work best. If you only need to clean some smaller items or moderately rusty equipment this blaster will get the job done."

Good Deal,

"The Media blaster was a good buy for the price compared to similar blasters from the local stores. It was easy to put together and the handling is comparable to media blasters that I have used in the past. The only reason I gave the product a 4 was because when it arrived the air pressure guage lens was broken as was the plastic lens for the face mask."
