Excellent saw for the price,

"PROS: Reliable, simple, safe and effective. The blade guard, rip guide and tilt-top work well. It does a great job of basic tile sawing, with very few tile being broken -- and then only when you push too fast or twist the tile, which would break tile on any saw. I've sawed LOTS of tile with mine, and I'm still on the original 7" diamond blade.
CONS: The water pan is very difficult to put in and remove -- and I've never done either process without spilling water! The saw is also hard to clean up, and it tends to sling muddy water all over the place. Best used outside, and wear eye protection and old clothes when using it!"

"This is a good home handyman tool, but has a couple of design flaws. It is difficult to empty the water tank at the conclusion of a project without spilling most of the contents. Also, the unit is slightly underpowered."

"We bought a fire tempered glass for the wood stove door, and the glass was a little to big. My husband put the glass on the Tile wet saw and cut the glass like butter. If i had to take the glasss somewhere else it would have cost me, plus the guy at the woodstove place said you have to be careful cutting the glass it could break, we showed him, the saw worked perfect. We are in the pond business , and we use the saw to cut rock to make waterfalls."

"Maybe I am spoiled by having used better wet saws but I was quite disappointed when my 12 inch tile was to big to cut with this saw. he table and guide seem to be poorly made and It simply isn’t made for what I wanted it for. It looks like it would work fine on 4” tile or so. It has very light construction and might be fine for a hobby person doing very small work but just isn’t up to my use on a counter joy with 12” tile.

"I just ordered this saw for a small kitchen backsplash job that I am going to do on my own. I read a review from a middle aged female (and I am also a middle aged female) who said it worked well for her, so. . . . I'll keep my fingers crossed! "I just purchased this saw after reading the reviews online - it's a good saw for the money and works like a champ.
I wouldn't recommend it for the professional, but certainly for weekend warriars.
I didn't want to rent a saw for the day, because like many jobs - they are all a work in progress and when you start one job you end up doing 3-4 other jobs at the same time...so it was nice not to have to return the saw at 5pm.
I'm redoing my foyer with 12x12 tiles and the saw worked like a champ. The only down side is the guide rail gets stuck and you have to take it off to clean under it so you can move it. I took it off becuase of the 12x12 tiles that I needed to cut, but it works good if you don't need to move the rail for every cut.
I would however clean and replace the water tray after 20 cuts or so...make sure you get all the dirt out from the bottom of the tray.
At the end of each day of using the saw I've clean it off so it looks new...took me about 5-10 minutes to wipe down all the surfaces. I also cleaned out from behide the water guard where the blade is to get all the junk that seeped down in there.
So far I've made close to 60 cuts and the blade still cuts like it's brand new. I would recommend to a friend - or at least trade tools with them."

"Purchased this wet tile saw online with free delivery to my local store after reading several reviews of this, and similar saws, since buyers seemed to have the most confidence in this one. Lucky move on my part since the saw did an excellent job for the money. As a small home repair and improvement business with only three or four tile jobs a year I just could not justify the expense of a higher priced tile saw and this one actually fit my requirements well. Initially I used it to install the tile in a large kitchen, two full baths and a dressing room on a job. Probably made between 125 and 150 cuts on the original blade and only replaced the blade after that job was complete in order to be ready for the next project. I had to abandon the OEM table guide after the first 20 cuts or so since the grit on the table interfered with its movement but cutting freehand was no problem, and was necessary to make some of the non-linear cuts such as around the toilet flanges.
The saw has adequate power as long as the operator does not try to set any cutting speed records, and is light and super portable.
I think it is probably best to change the water in the pan after every 30 or 40 cuts since the dust will really accumulate as mud in the bottom of the pan. The pan is a little of a pain to remove but a wet saw is messy anyway so having to tilt the saw up to remove the pan was no issue.
I rinsed and cleaned the saw pretty well every day after use, and made sure that everything was clean and dry before storing the saw after the project. The table does have some rust scratches on it but by keeping it clean and dry when not in use that should be no problem and this saw will probably last me several more tile jobs. Again, this was an excellent buy and I have already made my money back off the purchase, and by taking care of it I'm pretty confident that it will last through several more residential jobs."

"The price was right. I compared your price to many other stores and yours beat them all. The wet saw was very easy for me to use. IFirst of all I am a middle aged female with no experience on a saw of any kind. I found it very easy and comfortable to use. I tiled my kitchen floor all by my self. I also had to cut around corners. I ended using it free handed for some of the pieces. I like to make my own designs. I do not recommend everyone to use it free handed. I plan on using mine for quite a few more projects. I like to make my own mosaic designs. This will come in handy; I will be able free hand and cut my own shapes and sizes. I wish I would have bought one many years ago."

"I had looked for a wet tile saw locally and for a one time job they were all quite expensive. I came across this saw with free shipping and thought I couldn't pass it up. It turned out that I used it more than the one time & I am very pleased with it. I am a do-it-yourself home improver so a lot of the tools I buy are not used that often. The only thing I wish it had was some way to keep water running into the pan but that is not that big of a problem. I would recommend this to anyone who has some tile work to do around the house."

"This inexpensive saw really does the trick. I used it for 12x12 tiles which cover approx. 400 sq ft. It easily cuts the tiles. The only negative is that the surface which the tiles sit on is starting to rust as the tiles scratch it and it is not stainless. It is best to dry everything off after using."

"This is the first Powered Wet Tile saw I've purchased. I'm a home handyman (especially with tile) and this was my 3rd tile project.
I was in the middle of a bathroom remake and needed to cut some thin, corner and angled pieces from glazed 4" tiles. I usually used a simple score and break tool but for the thin and multiple cut sizes the score and break wouldn't work. It didn't make sense to purchase the $400 and up wet cut tile saws and found this one at Northern Tool.
The build of the tool is OK considering the price. The saw worked well. There are some issues with the guard, table adjustment rail, water bath and such,,, but overall I'd buy it in an instant for the same type of job. I might consider an upgrade blade for my next project with glazed tile. The saw will chip small pieces of the glaze from the cut and make for varying amounts of touchup and compromise. Something that might happen with any saw, but might be alleviated with a better blade: I don't have the experience to know on this one.
The tool served me well and is on the shelf waiting for the next project."

The best for do-it-yourselfers,

"I purchased this saw recently and found that it is the safest and easiest product I have used This was important to me as I made enough money to buy the house but not enough to pay contractors to fix it. I read a bit about tiling before I got started on my bathroom and wanted an inexpensive but dutiful wet saw. I got started due to a leak that caused first floor damage and now the upstairs bathroom is the best room in the house.
I found this through a friend review and feel that he really did a great service by directing me to Northern Tool and Equipment as well as this particular saw. I would suggest this tool for anyone looking to do work themselves with a limited knowledge of tile and smaller budget."

Okay for small jobs,

"I have used this saw for two floors and a bathroom. In general, it works as advertised, although the fence is poorly designed (the reason for 3 stars). If it had a better method for adjusting and tightening, it would be a much better product. For part of the time I had this machine and a friend's, and his fence was so much easier to use that I used his if I had to adjust it often, and mine if I could set it and make a bunch of cuts.
Also, the saw arrived bent up, because it is so poorly packaged. It was easy to straighten, but with better packaging I would not have had to.
I like the water tray. Better than the friend's machine.
Overall, for the price I would recommend it, but not if you were planning on doing tons of work. For the occasional project, it works fine."

"purchased this saw for a first time tile job, this saw was excellent and easy to use, removed saw guide after first cut and cut tiles freehanded, left saw on my patio for a week after use and top plate has begun to rust a little , maybe an aluminum top plate would be helpful on this saw"

"Saw arrived dead on arrival, had to replace the power cord, after that it ran fine. Have used to to tile two floors, so far so good. Not the highest quality tool I own, but works. Also arrived with bent corners, had to straighten them out. Fence is useless, easier to cut free hand."

"Bought this and cut 100LF or so (over 0 tiles) and was easy to use and very compact and easy to store. Simple construction best suited for typical ceramic tile. Did tend to chip the edges just a bit and required more water added for each tile cut. Also good idea to use outside as it tends to spray water everywhere. But hey, it's a wet saw!"
