Drill doctor does the job!,

"I have been eyeballing the drill doctor product for some time. Finally I dropped a hint to the wife I would like one of these, not coincidentally around Christmas time!
When I got the unit I immediately watched the dvd that came with it, and I had already seen the infomercial on the unit so I had a good idea how it worked. After watching the dvd a couple times I started playing with it, yes on the kitchen table on Christmas morning. Move that easy bake oven over kids, Dad needs some room to play also!
It took me a few times to get the angles right, but after just a few tries, I was sharpening bits like a pro. My only real difficulty came in trying to sharpen 18" long bits designed for going through walls. They were top heavy in the drill doctors chuck, making keeping the bit angles aligned.
As usual Northern had the best price and I found a rebate on the 750xx, which made it even more inviing to buy a Drill Doctor at this time. The item was ordered late, just 5 days before Christmas, but somehow Northern Tool got it there before the holiday."

"I purchased this drill bit sharpener 4 years ago and have sharpenen hundreds of bits. it does a great job and the bits cut better than they did when they were new. It is very easy to setup and takes no time at all. You can sharpen small to large bits, one as easy as the other. I would recommend this product to everyone that needs one."

"This tool is worth the money. It will not take long to pay for itself. Know i dont have to go to the store and buy new drills all the time. You just buy one good set and keep them sharp. They will last a long time. If this drill doctor wound happen to break i would have to go buy another one."

"I would recommend this product. It is easy to use and is money saving. I have got new use for the old drill bits. I have shown it to all my friends and we have had a drill sharpening day. "Sharpened every bit I could find,back cut feature works really good.
This machine would take awhile to pay for itself in drill bits but there is alot to be said for having down time running out buying a new bit to finish a job!"

"The Drill Doctor has changed my neanderthal thinking! I alway's thought that people who could not sharpen their own drill bits were monkey's,not ape,like my self.I decided to buy Drill Doctor,because of free shipping in the offer,prove to my self I was right, after all this time.Turns out,what I proved is the Drill Doctor is a tremendous addition to my shop and tools.I may still be ape,but probably would classify myself homosapien with my Drill Doctor doing the sharpening! "I have used some very expensive drill sharpeners and the Drill Doctor. I will say I was impressed with the ease and the overall quality of the resharpened bits. This thing works as advertised. It takes a little bit of practice to get the results, but not hard at all. I would reccomend this even at the level of being handy in a Tool shop, which is where I use mine."

"The is a easy to use, well designed, functional tool that should be in the garage of any homeowner that owns and uses drills. I work with wood, steel and masonry, and have hundreds of drill bits that dulled and sat unused. In the past, I thought I knew how to free hand sharpen drill bits on a grinding wheel, but I only ended up ruining the cutting edge and tossing the bit in the dull file. "My partner in our small machine shop is retiring this year and will lose his drill sharpening privileges at the shop where he has been employed for many years. He suggested that we jointly purchase a Drill Doctor 750 since Northern had them on sale at the time.
I must admit to having been extremely skeptical about the ability of a machine that small and inexpensive being able to actually go through all of the complex motions that are required to sharpen a twist drill. I guess I hadn't thought of the ingenuity of the engineers at Drill Doctor to cause simple cams to drive the motions while you, the operator, rotate the drill chuck. This system works really well.
Impressive features are ease of use, excellent surface finish on the sharpened drill bit, quick and precise change between drill sizes, and a depth stop that predetermines the amount to be ground off in sharpening.
My partner and I are no longer worried about keeping the drills sharp in our little machine shop. Thank you again, Northern"

"I bought this tool a month or so ago and have since sharpened every bit in my shop. Believe me there were a lot of bits that needed sharpening. This tool is easy to operate, does a superior job in a short time. From the time I received it until I was in the shop using it was about 15 min. Drill Doctor's 750X does the job,

"I have owned the 750X for about 6 monthes now and am very pleased with it. Initially I had purchased the 350X Model. But after trying it out on several drill bits I wasn't too happy with it, mainly because it would only sharpen bits up to a 1/2" in diameter. I have several steel bits larger than that that needed sharpening so I called Drill Doctor's home office and they were extremely helpful.
They let me trade my 350X in on a new 750X and gave me full price for my 350X ! The difference between the two models is substantial. The 750X has more sophisticated alignment and angle adjustments allowing you to sharpen bits at a much more precise degree which in the end gives you a much sharper bit. Plus you can sharpen bits up to 3/4" in diameter.
For the extra $80 - $90 the 750X is well worth it as compared to the 350X. I have used mine on dozens of drill bits now and I honestly believe it leaves a bit sharper than a new factory built bit does on some drill bits.
I must say I was rather skeptical when I first tried Drill Doctor but since owning a 750X I am a happy and satisfied customer."

"Sharpens bits perfectly, as sharp as new. I use one of these at work and at home, saving lots of money by not having to purchase new bits. Simple to use and does a great job on the bit. I really like the fact that it will sharpen split point bits. "i bought one of these for the shop at work, and we used it for about six years. when i retired i bought one for myself at home, i haven't used this one as much as i did the one at work, and this is actually a step up from the one we had at work. i have used several different types of sharpeners over the years and have never used one that can compare with the drill doctor. it is easy to use and works well, i would recommend this to anyone"

"I am an Electrical Contractor and I saved my dull bits for years thinking I would find a good way to sharpen them eventually. I finally bought the Drill Doctor DD750X and boy did I sharpen bits!
