"Bought this gun back in February of 2010. Have used it many times doing oil changes on the families 2 vehicles. Plenty of torque to remove and install lug nuts. Also have an IR231C wrench. This is about comparable to it. If you are doing routine work several times a month to work on cars you will not be disappointed."

"I don't considere this impact gun like a professionnal gun (i mean snap on or ingersoll rand), but the ratio Quatlty/price is very, very high! I explain me : a professionnal gun is more efficiant than this one. But, i buy this gun more than 1 year and a half ago, for my personnal use, and it give me a lot of hard work."

"This impact gun has plenty of power for various jobs like breaking loose rusted lug nuts or stuck head or exhaust bolts. Use it all of the time and the only complaint I have is it takes quite a bit to move the direction selector. For the money this is an excellent choice if you dont want to spend a fortune for a name brand composite impact"

"had been shopping around for some time for an Impact with some "Stones" and for under a million dollars , this was a find for sure , my compressor is not super high rated in CFM's so I was skeptical , I set all my Lug nuts with a breaker bar , Truck , Jeep , Van & Saturn . But this wrench "Burps" them right off , and for the price I am Impressed , the feel of it and the Twin Hammer are all as advertised . A good wrench and a Happy Customer for sure !"

"I bought this wrench (on sale) after borrowing an Ingersol Rand wrench from my mechanic. I just used the new one to replace guards on a 16 foot windrower; about 65 bolts in all. The wrench worked flawlessly, and had plenty of power to seal the bolts that operate in a high vibration environment. If it lasts, this is an excellent buy. The only downside is there is no marking whatsoever so it will be hard to show off to my friends. The instruction manual was not included in the package, but Stephanie in Customer Service e-mailed me a copy within an hour of my request. Good deal, and good service."

"I have used this air gun several times since I purchased it. This product demonstrates the equivelant to a high dollar major brand air gun. Its lightweight makes it easy to operate with torque power to spare. Removes bolts from the get-go. Air consumption is minimal and comperable to other name brands. In my opinion, there is nothing negative about this item. I am very satisfied with Northern products, especially this one."

"I recently purchased this impact based on its high torque rating. Upon putting it to use I found that in more than lived up to its rating. It had more power at 90 psi than most other units that I have used that cost quite a bit more. The only drawback is if you are used to going full blast with your other impacts and use this one in that manner you better get some good easeouts because unrestrained trigger pull is going to wring some bolts off."

"Finally I have found an impact wrench that will do all I want it to. It removes bolts from Tires with ease. The tool handles well even in tight spaces and has as much power as I could ever want. It is just as good in reverse as it is in forward."

"This is overall a good entry level 1/2" air impact. It has adequate tourque for most jobs, however, I rated it one star down as it does not have the tourque necessary to remove lugs off my 3/4 ton pickup or my trailers. I have to break them loose with a breaker bar first and I feel given the advertised tourque that it should break these loose."

"This wrench is totally unacceptable for me, the power is dismal at best, I feel it doesn't turn up to advertised speed, the selector on the rear is difficult to turn (especially with arthritic thumbs) my Milwaukee 18V rechargeable has more torque. I may try another, I'm sending it back to Northern."

"I purchased this impact wrench and have found it to be exactly what I needed. It has the power to do some serious work, the grip is very comfortable and easy to use, and a great value for the dollar. The simplicity of it is, there are no complex choices (different models) to choose from. It's a very simple choice. I wanted an impact wrench with the power I wanted (without spending a bundle for a name) and I found it! Great buy and value."
