outstanding wood crib,
July 11, 2007
By j637
from Sioux Falls, S.D.
|
"This wood crib is exactly what I expected. It is made nicely and the best part of it is that you can decide the length of it by the length of your 2X4's. It can be placed anywhere you want, and then if you want to change the location, or length, (ammount of wood it will hold), just lengthen the 2 X 4's. Great product."

"An excellent product. I customized two on my porch and filled them for the woodstove. Look good, easy to assemble and they get the job done. I may add a couple more."

OK but do not expect much,

"The product is fair. The issue is the steel/welds needs to be stronger. After stacking wood the arms began to bend due to the weight."

Needs some work,
October 19, 2009
By SteveA
from Central Maine
|
"I bought this product when it was on sale and although the intention and idea of the product was good, This product unfortunatly didn't work out to well for me. It collapsed under the weight of the wood!. I unforntunatly have to wait till next year before I can try to repair it as my wood is on it. (Facing downward on an angle)."

Strong!,

"I set mine up at around 8ft wide, and that thing is full of wood. There is no fastening the rack to the 2x4's, just slide them in, the rack cocks a little, and it stays put. I was surprised by how well these things work."

Versatile storage,

By yardguy

"Rack can be customized to any width, thereby fitting where you want it. If you change its location it can easily be adjusted. Painting the 2x4's black makes it look nice enough to sit by the fireplace. The steel frame is fairly sturdy."

"Great for the price. I built one from t-posts first then bought this one for added wood storage. Was cheaper, looks better and works just as well as the one I built myself. Will probably buy a couple more."

Quick and Easy,
March 16, 2009
By JohnA169
from Putnam, CT
|
"This wood crib is so quick and easy to use that it's crazy. Get the wood crib ends and a couple of 12 foot PT 2X4's and there you have it. The only way to make this product better would be to have it stack your firewood for you. Although there is no call for it in the instructions(there are no instructions) or need for nails or screws, I ran 3 2X4 cross pieces along the length of the 12 footers for added stability. That's it. It COULD NOT be easier."

Inexpensive and effective solution,
December 19, 2008
By NWCowboy
from Kirkland, WA
|
"Overall, easy to install, versatile and inexpensive solution. Don't have any major complaints on setup, sturdiness or use.
The one negative I encountered was unpacking. The manufacturer spends a lot of effort, material and tape to wrap the product to prevent scratching. But, you have to use a utility knife to cut thru the ENDLESS tape holding the protective covering on. In the process, I scratched a lot of the surface with the knife blade. Hopefully that won't encourage rust - not sure."
