Perfect., September 12, 2009
By Anonymous from MI

"Well, unlike the first review on this gun i've had mine for almost a year now and the only downfall is that the paint on the handle is starting to wear. I normally use for stripping paint and thawing copper pipes and it works better than the 60 dollar gun i had before this one. Great product, i would reccomend this to anyone."

Great tool, at any price, July 20, 2009
By ZigZ from Verona, KY

"I've used this to shape racing stripes on cars, shrink tubing on splices and to shape plastics. It works great, with a look and feel of a much more expensive unit. In fact, it looks to be made by the same manufacturer of a name-brand, but at 20% the price. You just can't go wrong at this price, even if it only works once, but I keep going back to the shelf and it works over, and over, and over.

Need a heat gun? Buy this one and save a lot of money.

A cheap heat gun that works!, July 20, 2009
By CarvedTones

"There are price tiers with heat guns and at the low end it is almost assumed that you are getting something that should last through a specific job and not much more. This one keeps going and has a good warranty to back it up. I have owned other cheap heat gus that did not last. This one is a winner."

This Is The One You Want, July 14, 2009
By steve21 from McFarland Wisconsin

"There are times when you really need a heat gun - for stripping paint, shaping plastics, etc. or on shrink tubing -at this price with this quality, I wouldn't put it off. The heat carrying tube is well away from the heat resistant plastic collar, so it can't melt and ruin the unit  (like the "Nationally Known Brand" I had before). The construction is solid, the weight distribution is correct , so handling and working with it is NOT a problem. Other cheaply made units don't feel safe, like this one.  Like I said, I can't believe this quality for this price.  It's so user friendly! I believe with the normal work-around- the-house use I give it, it very well could last me a lifetime."

Great for basic heat gun needs, July 13, 2009
By AmyPCs from North Carolina

"Purchased this heat gun for use in repairing graphics chip on a motherboard, and have used it several times since then for that purpose. Pros: the gun is relatively lightweight and very cool to the touch on the handle, making it easy to change holding positions when necessary. The cord is long enough to allow for some flexibility. Cons: it was difficult to reach a temp over 190 degrees C using this, and I needed 230. There is no way to set the temperature and a separate infrared thermometer has to be used. Overall: gets the job done in situations where technical heat specs and measurements aren't required. Probably great for crafts!"

heat gun, March 23, 2007
By mattymechanic from NY

"it works well and is a great deal for the price, but the downfall with all heat guns is that they dont last long. i personally have been through about 5-6 of this model. but for the money and the 1 year warranty its def a good buy. i use mine alot, so they dont usually last long but this one is well worth the price."
