Poor and misleading Product,
October 29, 2009
By jadissappointed

"Way less then what I paid for
When you purchase the product it advertises that it fits most engines!
When you receive it outside of box states for Chevy engines!
I HAVE A FORD ENGINE
Tried it anyway and of course none of the bolt holes line up.
Set the engine on the cradle and it immediately broke the bolts on one side and shattered one of the pot metal casters! Rated for 1000 lbs. Not in the real world!

Works great for SB chevy long block,
July 14, 2009
By TheToolbox
from Go phils!
"We put the SB chevy on it NP. All bolt holes lined up. One tube needed to be flexed, but it was easy. Probably flexed during shipment. It's pretty light due to the thin walled metal, but rolls around the epoxy coated garage floor easy enough. For the price, can't be beat."

Horrible,
July 5, 2009
By Cman72
from Memphis TN
"Bought it cheap didnt expect much but did expect it to at least bolt to the engine easily. The casters are nice and heavy duty but the 1/2 inch thin wall square tubing would be stressed to hold 500 lbs let alone the 1000 its rated at. Horrible welds that barely resemble tack welds. Red paint that mostly comes off on your hands during assembly. now for the bad parts. started to bolt it to the block hanging on the lift and 1 bolt hole lined up out of 4 on one side and 2 on the other. brackets holding the motor mount sides were 10 degrees off from centered and required either cutting and rewelding or to grind the holes out to wiggle the bolts in and start the threads. On the bell housing section, both sides dowell pin holes were not big enough to go on the dowells and needed to be opened up a little to even try to start the bolts. one side both bolt holes lined up once the dowel pin hole was fixed. other side 1 bolt lined up and the other is 1/4 inch off with no way to even start the bolt. By the time I got it bolted on and on the ground I could have ran to the store bought the parts and fabbed my own for much less which is what I will do next time. On the plus side after getting the thing on the motor I was able to roll it pretty easily about 30 feet across smooth concrete without it breaking! only has a short block on it though anything more and a stray pebble would have wrecked the whole thing."

What an Engine Cradle,
March 17, 2009
By GSchro
from McGregor, ND
"Wow! Did not realize what I had here until I bought a motor from a neighbor. We put the motor on the cradle in the back of the pickup, tied it down and it road wonderful. On the way home we went thru town and everybody that stopped to look at my new motor, ended up looking at the cradle, they all thought it looked great.. When I got the motor home it was a breeze to unload, keeping the motor upright and tied down. It did not move an inch. I have had others stop by the shop and everybody asks about the cradle and where I got it. I would recommend it to any Chevy motor guy."

Works as Advertised!,

"I was at first skeptical about the quality of this product because of the low price. But your policy of satisfaction guaranteed convinced me to order it and see for myself.
I was thrilled when it got here and put it into service that very day. It performed beautifully and the fit and finish were both exceptional. I have been using it constantly ever since and wish I'd bought it sooner, as now I don't think I can do without it.
You have made a believer out of me and I've already ordered a few other things from you, with more to come. I feel as though I owe you folks an apology for my skepticism. You've got a customer for life now!

Grip Engine Cradle,

"This unit will not bolt to an LS6 engine. It was low cost and appeared to be a good value but I spent 3 hours cutting and refitting it to bolt to the LS engine. I would not buy one if you are planning to use it for LS series engines."

Grip Engine Cradle,
January 14, 2008
By Gret
from Salado, TX
"Spot on for my recently rebuilt 350 engine out of a 71 Impala. Cradle mounting points matched right up with little to no fuss. Caster wheels make it easy to roll around in the garage. Compact, stable frame is a plus. Welds are clean and consistent. Northern needs to provide these Cradle Stands for MOPAR engines. Recommend."

Grip Engine Cradle,
July 9, 2007
By flatheadjohn
from Sacramento, CA
"This engine cradle is an excellent value for the money, I've seen others of the same style go for a lot more money but of poorer quality. I was impressed with its ease of assembly and the solid steel casters are a big plus for moving it around on solid surfaces. The cradle keeps the engine's center of gravity low to avoid it possibly tipping over. I would buy it again and would highly recommend it to others."
