Compound Sliding Miter Saw With Laser,

"The saw itself was worth the money. BUT
The trigger handle should be sideways instead of up/down.
This along with the safety button makes it alittle hand to work it.
The laser should also be more on line. The laser light is wider then it should be. Still must line the blade up by sight."

Compound sliding mitre saw,

"This saw was well worth the money. I'm building a new house, and I,m doing about half of it myself with some friends. I've used this saw probably as much as a contractor would, and knock on wood, it's held up and is going strong. The only thing is the original blade is not that good. I put a good blade on it and it cuts like a dream. I would recomend this saw to anyone. For the price, you can;t beat it.
Many other reviews complain about the laser, but I don't use it much anyway. My shop is so brightly lit you can barely see it anyway. And when I use it outside, you can't see it at all."

"I first got this when I was insulating my concrete garage, using it to cut furring strips then battens. Since then I've used it on a number of Habitat for Humanity builds, primarily as part of a crew doing interior trim molding. I really like having the laser for alignment. Our crew normally does all of the trim work on a 3-4 bedroom house in a little more than half a day.
I could have paid a lot more for a major brand, but this does everything that I need a a lot less cost."

Does the job but not exactly precise,

"For basic framing and miter work, this saw does the job. I have two main complaints:
1) The saw shipped out of alignment in about all facets. The laser sight is a joke and can't be seen until its nearly dark...and who wants to operate this thing in the dark? One rainy Saturday, I'll set about calibrating everything but have gotten used to compensating for those few degrees off.
2) The motor bogs down easily causing the blade to bind. This can happen on something as simple as a slightly dense douglas fir 2x4. If your going to be cutting lots of hardwood, you might want to find a more powerful motor.
Overall, these two annoyances are trade-offs that I'm willing to make for the price-point of this saw."
