"Pros

Seems to work well. Makes hose retrieval very easy. Mine is new so I just hope it lasts. It has issues, but does work well.

Cons

Same complaints as everyone else. This is Northern's reel being used on Northern's mounting base. They at least should have given you the attaching bolts. And they at least could have co-ordinated to have the reel bolt holes the same diameter as the base bolt holes it goes to.

Hose to reel connection is a mess. Needs redesign to avoid kinking the hose."

I would not purchase this product, April 15, 2009

"I received this product as a gift and was very unsatisfied from the beginning. The hose has almost a 90 degree kinked where it connects to the reel and does not come with nut and bolts. I disconnected the 3' connection hose and just use it as it states "Reel Hose". I would not recommend this product. Try a different one, but the pressure washer i got from Northern Tool is excellant. Item # 1578112"

4000 psi hose reel, November 19, 2008

"I have used this reel for about three months now and it works very well and seems to be well built. It does hold 100' of hose as long as it is a single 100' piece. Did not work with 2- 50' sections because of the hose connections. The only issue I have with this reel is that my hose has to bend over 90 degrees to connect to the outside of the reel."

Great product. Look out for other parts., September 14, 2008

"I have found this product to work well. It holds 100' of hose (item #30333) very well.
One problem, this item does not come with the mounting bracket to attach it to the pressure washer. Upon buying the mounting bracket, neither one came with bolts to mount the hose reel to the mounting bracket. Make sure you buy bolts and a mounting bracket or you will be making several trips."

Good price if you have low pressure hose, March 11, 2007

"As previous poster stated, it struggles to hold 100' of my 4000psi hose.

There isn't enough clearance to connect to hoses without positioning the joint across the reel.

For the price (bought on sale), it was hard to pass on."

"It barely holds my 75' of 3/8 hose, otherwise it seems to be a good unit for the price."
