Excellent Motor - Worth the extra money

"This motor was purchased to drive a home made air compressor rated for 5HP. I considered purchasing the smaller 5HP motor (Model# 116511) but elected to go with this model (Model# 102892). I am here to say you get what pay for!
This motor has plenty of reserve HP (ServiceFactor of 1.15 yields 5.75 HP... non of this SPL/develops HP talk) and rated at 26 amps. In the compressor config it supports, it quietly drives full load pulling only 16 amps. With the larger bearings, beefier shaft/rotor, and frame, I have no doubt it will satisfy me for years to come.... I can use it to do what I need and not spend time/money/worry about when it will break down."
