Hobart CO2 Kit for MIG Welding, Model# 236295

Item# 164014
If you need to take your welder to work, don't settle for a flux core weld. This kit uses the same gas cylinder used in the popular sport of paintball to deliver the clean, no-slag welds you expect in the shop. A single fill provides approx. 40 minutes of arc time using 030' solid wire. Cylinder ships empty requires filling before use Stamped brackets allow easy attachment to Hobart handlers and competitive welders Feeds directly into the welder using the provided hose

"Attaches to the welder in a matter of minutes using simple tools. No regulators to adjust, they're preset and set right. 20 oz. bottle lasts about 40 minutes of weld time and can be filled for just a few bucks at paintball/hobby retailers. Most are open on weekends."

Cleaner Welds - Cheaper Wire

"I use my Handler 120 primarily for hobby welding: building and repairing tractor implements, shop equipment, etc. By utilizing this kit I can use solid core welding wire, which costs about 1/3 of Flux-Cored Wire, and the welds come out much cleaner without the yellow haze of the flux residue, and with less splatter. Penetration is good, and I can get a gas recharge for $8 at a local hobby shop where the hours are more flexible than an Industrial Gas Supplier. I keep an extra CO2 bottle full so I never run out in the middle of a project.
Although it's not as versatile as a regular gas bottle and regulator, this was a much less expensive alternative, and is totally adequate for my needs.

"Nice add, kinda cheap. Cheap refill (just a few bucks), good weld.
One thing though: one done, undo the Regulator, as the Solenoid Valve can leak slowly... I bought a second Cylinder for more Welding Time

Everything you would expect

"This little device makes the Hobart Handler series of welders truly portable. It just attaches to the back of the machine and allows for nice gas-shielded welds, both in and out of the shop. The weld quality is barely distinguishable from welds made with C25 gas. It uses the CO2 cansisters common to paintball guns, which are readily available and cheap. It's also easy to buy and store extra canisters. It can probably be adapted to most other wire-feed welders (that have a shielding gas fitting); it uses a comon pipe-thread connector. The only limitation I can think of is that it's not good in windy conditions, a problem common to all gas-shielded welders."
