Hobart 250CI Plasma Cutter,
August 11, 2008
By Sparky66 from Asheville, NC
"AWESOME!! I use it for restoring vehicles, cutting sheet metal, old rusty nuts and bolts etc. This tool has saved me hours and hours and hours. Instead of wrestling with old rusty stuff, this guy cuts it off in seconds. Well worth the money. For automotive and home maintenance this is a must have tool. You can't go wrong with a Hobart anything! The unit worked right out of the box and has worked flawlessly ever since. Use it once and you will have to have it."

nice unit for novice shade-tree mechanic,
November 17, 2008
"I have used this unit several times monthly, for about one year now. No complaints, it does what it is advertised to accomplish. I have cut up to 1/2" carbon steel pipe but very, very slow cutting. Of course it is only rated to sever 1/4" steel plate, which it does very well. Anything 1/8" or smaller, it slices through smoothly and quickly. Yes, so far, I really like this small unit. Nice to have a self-contained air compressor included in it. Just plug it in and cut cutting."

Good Little Cutter,
August 18, 2008
By BroncoFabricator from Del Rio, TX
"I've had my AirForce 250 for about a year now, and I must say, I love it. It does the jobs I need it to do and in a short amount of time. The onboard compressor is so handy and it's lighweight makes things so much easier. Add a cart to it and you've got one great setup. Don't buy this cutter if you plan on cutting real heavy material. Pay attention to the specifications on the product page. I use mine for auto body work, as well as small scale home projects. Another great product by Hobart."

Must have tool!,
April 21, 2008
By Rons1stRod from Spokane, WA
"As a first time hotrod builder, there are many tools that I reach for, but none more than my plasma cutter. This cutter is absolutely fantastic and is a huge time saver! I have air saws and cutters of various types but I always reach for my Hobart AirForce 250 if I want to cut metal or aluminum fast, clean and easily! I would recommend this product to anybody even remotely thinking about purchasing one. I only regret one thing and that is buying all the other cutting tools!
You won't go wrong with this and will enjoy the easy to read instructions and reliability of a HOBART machine."

Hobart Plasma Cutter is a great tool,
April 21, 2008
By Shorty954 from Roseburg, Oregon
"I loved this unit from the first day we got it at the shop. Easy to setup and use. Electricity bill has not changed sense we got it either. Our old 110v plasma used the same amount of power as the 220v does.
We here at Gopher Mining Products all love this machine very much."

Plasma cutter,
April 14, 2008
By deaco from Escanaba, MI
"Right out of the box this Hobart saved me time and money. I cut off exhaust flange bolts at the manifold on a Dodge truck where it was not possible to use a torch. They were larger than 1/4" and it was no problem. This is an excellent tool. From Northern I purchased it at a substantial savings and got a gift card in the deal. I only wish I would have bought it sooner."

"It was very easy to use right out of the box. Most of my work is around the house on hobbie cars. It cut the hole in the bed of my truck for a fuel cell without burning the paint. Every hobbiest needs one."

light duty, sheet metal only,
December 1, 2007
By ironwoodworker from chicago
"I just bought the unit and tried it for the first time. I loved the fact that you don't need a compressor and it's so easy to set up and use. It worked really well with clean cuts on .125 and below but I use 3/16" frequently and found that you have to have a very steady hand to get a good cut and it'sslow but still faster that a bandsaw, if you try to go back and re-cut the results are disappointing, if you plan on using 3/16" (.188) I would recommend sizing up as I am going to return the 250 and buy the Hobart Airforce 400, I already have a compressor.
