10,000 watts of juice

"This was a leap of faith-my first order of anything from NT+E. First-it arrived in Canada within one week of shipping-dropped off to driveway-no hassles-no surprise fees-awesome logistics I'd say. Hooked this up with a 1" toothed belt drive to a Muncie PK15 hydraulic motor and cranked it up. Power from word "GO" . Nice feature of hydraulics is ability to increase GPM and match load increase-doesn't take much to keep "in the green zone". Where its mounted doesn't have a lot of air circulation so am adding a cooling fan just to make sure there's no "heat stress". Hydraulic source runs on waste veg oil so it makes my 10,000 watts totally "carbon neutral" as well and allows me to separate diesel engine a distance from the actual generator (ie inside) to keep it dry and protected. Power to run just about anything-mig,plasma cutter, lathe and 5000 watt water heater. Ian"

"I bought this generator head in 2005 and after thinking and trial and error got it hooked up to a 1982 Chevette engine through a Jeep rear end and have used it a couple of times when the power went off, one time for 18 hours and supplied all our power needs, except the electric stove. It was a life saver and moral booster. We had power when most of the neighborhood was out. I live on a farm and we have had enough outages to make the generator worthwhile."

"I'd love to see what you're running for a governor. I installed one of these of a ford efi 460 and have been fighting a generac electronic governor kit for months. Any pointers?"

Used for 15 years- HARD!

"Well I finally burned my Gen head out after over 15 years of hard non protected from the weather use. :(
I AM buying another one and I suggest that if you have a 20 hp or slightly larger horizontal shaft engine and need 10K Watts, U do the same.
Based on my experience you will be very happy.
By the way I had only one minor repair, a capacator burned out after about 8 years."

Belt Driven Generator

"I have owned one of the high output belt driven generators for about six years. It is installed on a removable plate in the back of my pickup truck and is driven by a 25 HP Honda engine. I use it on my 3 acres of wooded property to provide power for my electric chain saw. I also use it for backup power for our house. It has never let me down and I have used it many times during power outages. I also use it to power my RV when we travel. One of its best features is the number of convenient power receptacles including 220 volt plugs. The meters are also useful in making sure the output is what one expects. The workmanship is excellent and I expect it to last me many years.

North Star Belt Driven Generator

"I fabricated a cart to hold my North Star Generator and a 20hp Onan engine hooked them together with 5" sheaves and gave it a try. It is great it powers my whole house lighting and it runs my well, no more trying to read by candle light and worrying about flushing the toilet. When the Michigan winter storms knock out the power I dont have to worry about losing the freezer contents or building a fire in the fireplace, It was the best investment I made to combat lack of power."
