"We had just moved to Mississippi when Katrina blew in resulting in loss of power for two weeks in hot muggy weather. Man! Generators were rather difficult to find. Not to have my family go without every day comforts was my goal.
I bought the 12Kw propane generator wired to the house for auxillary power. Sence then we haven't been without power, not once! This unit switches automaticly upon sensing power grid failure and disconnects without any interuption of service. In addition, this unit automaticly runs a systems check once a week to ensure all is well.
This is by far the best unit I've ever owned and should we move, I'll be torn between selling it with the house and taking it with me. If it is left with the house, I WILL buy another one!"

"Kohler has always been a generator I would use, I have had them in my RV's and never had even 1 problem with them. I think when I build my house in Ohio that this will be the unit I purchase as my standby generator as it can run on both LP and Natural gas both of which are reasonably priced and with the natural gas can be supplied from the incoming feed for the house. Although I have not used this unit I know Kohler and one can not go wrong using this brand. If this unit is as quiet as my RV units which I believe it would be then, I would not be sorry I purchased this unit. I just don't think anyone who purchsed this unit would be sorry.
