Solar Charger for 12 Volt batteries,
October 20, 2009
By Falconsfan from Georgia
"I used this on my boat batteries. It worked great in keeping the batteries charged while not in use. I have since installed a 2 bank onboard charger, but I have installed the solar charger on my lawn tractor battery to keep it maintained through the winter months when it is used less. Everytime I need my mower, it starts up without the fear of a dead battery. Great product and easy to use with several battery connection options. I also like the fully automatic desulfator feature that dissolves life-shortening sulfate using safe low voltage high frequency pulses. This has help postpone me from buying a new mower battery."

Keep the RV Battery Charged,
July 20, 2009
By CamperJim from Pickerington, OH
"I really have enjoyed using the BatteryMinder Solar Charging system to keep the battery in my travel trailer charged. I have been in campsites where I have no electric power and have used the BatteryMinder to keep my battery charged so I can run my pump, lights, gas water heater and gas refrigerator. I have been amazed how it works in rather dull light. It is really easy to set up and I can move it to get the best use of the sunlight. Other campers ask me how it works and I am happy to tell them that I have had success using it."

Great Product...Perfect Solution,

"Bought this for a small hunting shack that is used periodically. Installation was simple and hassle free. I made my own bracket to mount on the roof. The charge controller has indicated max charging even on overcast days. I'm using a 300watt inverter to run two CFL's and wired in two outlets for a fan and radio. We've almost completly drained the 100amphour battery, but has been recharged within the next day. Better than paying someone else for electricity."

Great for the boat batteries,

"I bought this rig and use it on the boat lift to keep the two boat batteries pumped up. I put a couple pieces of conduit on the ends to hold it on top of the canopy and then tied it down. The system works great and I don't have to haul the batteries home to charge them. Saves a lot of work."

BatteryMINDer Solar Charging System,
March 16, 2009
By ChrisW48 from Grass Valley, California
"It took me about 10 minutes to make a bracket to attach the solar panel to my existing fixture. Then it took another 5 minutes to install the electronics and hook it all up. The LEDs immediately indicated the battery was in good condition and was charging. Now even after 4 or 5 days with no sun I can be assured my system will work perfectly.
A quality product all around - robust construction, easy to install, and good performance."

Impressed with packaging,
February 23, 2009
By newcustomer from Brandywine, MD
"This is my first purchase with Northern Tool and I was very impressed with the way my battery minder/solar panel came packed. Being in the moving industry for about 20 yrs. I can truly say this thing was very well packed. Nothing was damaged. ( cardboard, packing paper, styrofoam, and solid cardboard panels, almost like plywood) Wow! Climbed on roof, used temp. brackets that came with unit, fed wire thru unused roof fan and down to controller. The sun was not ever up yet and it was reading 13.29 volts. continued checking voltage and it just kept getting higher. Have only had unit a few days but I'm impressed with it's performance so far."

The BEST thing I have purchased for my camper,
November 17, 2008
By seidel98 from Williamstown NJ
"I bought this solar panel to help out the generator on my 32' camper about 6 months ago. Since I put this solar panel and charger in I have not had to even start the generator. This thing is unbelievable. I run my 12V lights, water pump and propane forced air heat all night on one battery. The next morning the solar panel was even charging before the sun came out. The battery is usually fully charged by 10am after using everything allnight. This solar panel even works on cloudy days in the rain. Installation was simple they give you everything you need. The only thing I would like to see on it is a digital readout. The indicator works just fine but I like to see the actual voltage. I mounted mine to 2- 4" by 4" and just laid it on the roof so I could adjust it because I am in a shady area. But since I put it up their 6 months ago I haven't touched it. I was amazed at the quality of the solar panel for such a small price. I would highly recomend this product. My neighbor just ordered one after seeing how good mine works."

"I bought this system to power a few 12V lights at a rural, off the grid cabin. It installed easily. All the wires were long enough. Operation is simple and I hardly think about it. After 6 months the system is running fine."
