Easy to setup,

"In off-season, my riding mower doesn't get used that often but when I do need it, the battery is usually dead and it's a pain to have to recharge it. Also, after a few discharges, the battery is pretty much shot. After the easy installation of the BatterMINDer solar charger, it has been ready to go no matter how long it's been sitting. When it comes to keeping the battery charged - even in the cloudy NW, so far this has done a great job."

Good charging,

"I got this a while ago, my sun and I put the first one on a 6ft. ladder to make it more portable. It works great for my 27ft camper. Even in the teens at night with the heater on the batteries (2) would charge by afternoon, on partly coudy days. I'm getting (4) more batteries and another panel just to be realy off the grid. Can even run the frig. with the heater on. The second panel will go on the other side of the ladder so I don't have to chase the sun, one side east and one side west."

"I use this solar charging system with 2 UPG Sealed Lead-Acid Battery — AGM-type, 12V, 90 Amps, Model# UB12900, again if power is out for a prolonged period of time. I use this system to charge the battery's during the day. In an emergency every little bit helps."

Solar Charger for 12 Volt batteries,
October 20, 2009
By Falconsfan
from Georgia
"I used this on my boat batteries. It worked great in keeping the batteries charged while not in use. I have since installed a 2 bank onboard charger, but I have installed the solar charger on my lawn tractor battery to keep it maintained through the winter months when it is used less. Everytime I need my mower, it starts up without the fear of a dead battery. Great product and easy to use with several battery connection options. I also like the fully automatic desulfator feature that dissolves life-shortening sulfate using safe low voltage high frequency pulses. This has help postpone me from buying a new mower battery."

solar charging system,
October 20, 2009

"While I haven't used this item to its full capacity, I do have a 12 volt motorcycle battery connected.
It seems to be working very well. In fact, I have it in my backyard shed, and it momentarilly powers the interior shed light. I am only in there for a minute or two at a time. I hope it doesn't damage the solar panel or other components, but it seems great for now. I do plan on connecting the other 12 volt batteries during the winter months, when they are not being used. Mounting and assembly was very easy.

15 Watt Solar Panel,
October 19, 2009
By vegasflash

"I have mounted this panel flat on the roof of my travel trailer with great results. Installation was easy. It charges and maintains two 12 volt batteries. The longest my batteries would last without it was 4-5 days while dry camping. It has extended my stays to 7 days, maybe more which includes using my ducted heating system.
I have used this item in warm to frigid climits with great success."

This thing works great!,

"I purchased this solar panel kit last May. Being a ham radio operator I was hoping to use it to provide emergency power for my equipment. It has exceeded my expectations. I now have full time off the grid station on the air. The panel will even charge on a cloudy day. Just recently we had 4 cloudy days in a row and this charger kit kept my station running for at least a few hours each evening."

"Works incredibly well. Better than I expected. Surprised at the minimal amount of sunlight required to begin charging. I’m testing this in several applications. I’m using it to power & Charge most of my daily electronic equipment. I can’t believe, that for so many years I've been using & paying for unnecessary home electricity usage! This is definitely an asset for the go green mindset!"

Keep the RV Battery Charged,
July 20, 2009
By CamperJim
from Pickerington, OH
"I really have enjoyed using the BatteryMinder Solar Charging system to keep the battery in my travel trailer charged. I have been in campsites where I have no electric power and have used the BatteryMinder to keep my battery charged so I can run my pump, lights, gas water heater and gas refrigerator. I have been amazed how it works in rather dull light. It is really easy to set up and I can move it to get the best use of the sunlight. Other campers ask me how it works and I am happy to tell them that I have had success using it."

Great Product...Perfect Solution,
July 13, 2009
By Kriegsman

"Bought this for a small hunting shack that is used periodically. Installation was simple and hassle free. I made my own bracket to mount on the roof. The charge controller has indicated max charging even on overcast days. I'm using a 300watt inverter to run two CFL's and wired in two outlets for a fan and radio. We've almost completly drained the 100amphour battery, but has been recharged within the next day. Better than paying someone else for electricity."

Great for the boat batteries,

"I bought this rig and use it on the boat lift to keep the two boat batteries pumped up. I put a couple pieces of conduit on the ends to hold it on top of the canopy and then tied it down. The system works great and I don't have to haul the batteries home to charge them. Saves a lot of work."

BatteryMINDer Solar Charging System,
March 16, 2009
By ChrisW48
from Grass Valley, California
"It took me about 10 minutes to make a bracket to attach the solar panel to my existing fixture. Then it took another 5 minutes to install the electronics and hook it all up. The LEDs immediately indicated the battery was in good condition and was charging. Now even after 4 or 5 days with no sun I can be assured my system will work perfectly.
A quality product all around - robust construction, easy to install, and good performance.

Impressed with packaging,
February 23, 2009
By newcustomer

"This is my first purchase with Northern Tool and I was very impressed with the way my battery minder/solar panel came packed. Being in the moving industry for about 20 yrs. I can truly say this thing was very well packed. Nothing was damaged. ( cardboard, packing paper, styrofoam, and solid cardboard panels, almost like plywood) Wow! Climbed on roof, used temp. brackets that came with unit, fed wire thru unused roof fan and down to controller. The sun was not ever up yet and it was reading 13.29 volts. continued checking voltage and it just kept getting higher. Have only had unit a few days but I'm impressed with it's performance so far."

"This is a great product easy to hookup ,although I wish wires were longer,I had to make my own mount ,it swivels and tilts, charges two batteries deep cycle, run them thru inverter to power electric blanket and small humidifier at night, a couple of cloudy days will not bring charge up to full though, plan on adding extra panels so I can get more than a 600 milliamp output, controller feature is great as batteries will last longer."

The BEST thing I have purchased for my camper,
November 17, 2008
By seidel98
from Williamstown NJ
"I bought this solar panel to help out the generator on my 32' camper about 6 months ago. Since I put this solar panel and charger in I have not had to even start the generator. This thing is unbelievable. I run my 12V lights, water pump and propane forced air heat all night on one battery. The next morning the solar panel was even charging before the sun came out. The battery is usually fully charged by 10am after using everything allnight. This solar panel even works on cloudy days in the rain. Installation was simple they give you everything you need. The only thing I would like to see on it is a digital readout. The indicator works just fine but I like to see the actual voltage. I mounted mine to 2- 4" by 4" and just laid it on the roof so I could adjust it because I am in a shady area. But since I put it up their 6 months ago I haven't touched it. I was amazed at the quality of the solar panel for such a small price. I would highly recomend this product. My neighbor just ordered one after seeing how good mine works."

Great Value,
August 15, 2008

"Needed a solar panel to charge a battery used for a boat hoist and was excited to find this offering. Having very positive experience with desulfating chargers, this was an unexpected find. This is a very nice kit. Panel arrived with a crack in the back glass but I am uncertain if this is a problem yet (contacting manufacturer). There was no damage to the shipping package. Assembly is simple, functionality appears to be great (only had this for 2 days). The fact that the #1 cause of battery failure in a light use application like this is sulfation, and the fact this kit includes proven desulfator technology, makes this kit a bargain especially considering the price."
