"I bought this grinder about three years ago and use it mostly to grind chicken and things like beef heart to create a raw diet for my dog. The weld for the tray broke right off of the tube (poor spot weld or tack weld) so I had to send that out elsewhere to be fixed. The output tray wasbent when received but NTools replaced that. The grinder has been otherwise trouble free, although I recommended it to friends, they bought it, and had to have it replaced because it had a bad switch and some other problems. Northern Tools replaced it without an issue as far as I know.
This grinder is not going to eat/grind everything, certainly not pork neck bones, but does pretty well with lighter stuff like chicken. I'd say it fits the niche when the grinder attachments to a mixer are not enough and you don't need a full-on commercial grinder."

Meat grinder,

"I make 300-400 lbs.of sausage a year and I can say that this unit will certainly do the job for grinding. It grinds meat faster than you can feed it, which brings us to its only downfall. If you want to stuff sausage, this unit produces the grind at such a fast rate that it clogs the stuffing tubes. Quite frustrating! As a stand alone grinder its super, but it dosen't stuff casings well at all. I think thats probably why this unit dosen't come with any stuffing attachments. Hope this helps!"

Great grinder,

"Great grinder, solid and strong. Out performs my last grinder which was almost twice the price, harder to clean and more cumbersom. The only way to improve on this product would be to include attachments for stuffing."
