Poor Instructions,
July 9, 2009
By LisaN
"The instructions for the assembly of the saw were horriblly inadequate. It basically consisted of a diagram. The bulk came pre-assembled which was a good thing or we would still be putting it together..."

meat saw,
March 23, 2009

"I purchased this meat saw to process deer since my Brother-In-Law was closing his meat market and decided to retire. My 80 year old father assembled the saw and had no problems. My Brother-In-Law came to cut our deer and before using the saw he inspected it and my Father had not tighten the blade properly. The saw worked wounderful and I would recommend this product."

save your money,

"I bought this saw three years ago and it is completely shot. Total waste of money. First thing to go was the on off switch (immediately). I used the bandsaw to slice venison steaks and spent three times as much time cleaning the unit as I did processing meat. Next thing to go was the shaft to the grinder and now the grinder head is worn out. Do yourself a favor and just buy a real grinder and handcut your steaks."

"This saw wasn't what we thought it would be. It did a poor job of cutting and the blade started to twist as soon as it got to a bone. We ended up sending the saw back. Overall I would not recommend this product."

Meat processing made easy!,

"After using the all-in-one meat saw and grinder w/sausage stuffer, We will never try to process our wild or domestic meats by hand carving again. The all-in-one unit only took 1/10th the time and was a breeze for clean-up. We recommend that all large portions of meat be frozen before slicing. This makes the job faster and easier. The all-in-one unit also came in usefull at our family reunion. We used it to slice Bread Loaves, Watermelon and Cooked Meats.
WE JUST LOVE THE WAY THE "ALL-IN-ONE" UNIT WORKS !!!

Quick cut,
November 7, 2007
By trackercb

"Saw works great as long as the meat is partially frozen, but the grinder clogs up fast, had to clean often. The grinder did however do a nice job with the venison cuts, found that if the meat is still partially frozen it grinds smoother and with less clogging. Hard to clean all points of contact with the blade on lower wheel with out removing blade, and to change blade you must take off the drive belt, (a good safety feature, but a nuisance)."

Used & Liked,

"We bought this Saw & Grinder to Process our own Deer. Just finished using it to cut up Deer Quarters from the freezer and Fresh Deer. We also used the Grinder to grind the meat & Pork fat for Sausage. It worked great. We ended up with 40 lbs. of Sausage. The only problem I see is with the stuffing of the Sausage casings. After mixing the seasonings & Ground meat together, You need to run it back through the grinder. I took the blade off but had to use the disc and it did not leave the meat chunky enough. If it came with a Disc that was only meant to stabilize the auger it would be perfect."

Family butcher,

By hallybird

"I bought this saw several years ago. I put it together in a hurrry and went to work cutting up several lambs. Broke the blade after jaming the sloppy table. Put it in the back of the shed for a year till I needed for a hog. Spent a hour aligning adjusting and just plain tinkering till everything worked right. Put on a professional butcher blade and tried it again with amazing results. It is not a professional saw , but for the home butcher it works great. Saws steaks easily and accurately, just a little slower than the pro one. The grinder works well just watch out for that blade. This last year I cut up a 1000# steer, 280# hog and a couple of lambs. To clean it I use a garden hose hooked to a water heater set at 140 degrees and the fat/mess just melts away."

Spend the extra!,

"I had boughten one of these with great expectations, and used it 4 or 5 times when the white cast metal on the roller guides for the blade broke. Now in the process of seeing if I can purchase the parts to fix it. I would of spent the Little extra $$ if I had known this, before I had bought this particular Saw. But the grinder works well."

"Great product for the price. It was purchased for the purpose of cutting up a steer. The beef bones are a little dense for this saw but a sawsall did the trick. It took 10 hours to cut up an 850 lb carcass. Pretty simple to assemble. Have used it for cutting up pork and beef, frozen or thawed. Works great. Have used it many times. In a couple of weeks will be cutting up a pig."

It was farly simple to asemble and rather impresive in the looks area."

Meat Saw/ Grinder,
January 8, 2007
By dwred
from I live in Lafayette, TN
"My wife and I purchased this saw about two years ago at a Truckload Sale. It was the best investment that we made. I am a deer hunter and bought the saw for the purpose of butchering our deer. The saw paid for it's self the first year I had it, my son my wife and myself were able to cut a deer up in roughly an hour as apposed to several hours. I would recommend this to anyone who deer hunts and butcher's their own deer. I would recommend the saw being sold with an extra saw blade."

not worth the meat it cuts,
December 18, 2006
By buraq

"I have had this meat saw for a year now and am very unhappy with it. For starters ,you have to assemble the thing by your self. The instructions are poorly written and poorly illustrated. Anyhow being a techy I was able to get it together. The problems are as follows. The alignment of the blade to the pulleys are atrotous. you have to tweek set screws to make it sit somewhat decent and inline. The belt on the main motor is very difficult to adjust. You need two people to do this. To date I have damaged two blades due to incredibly faulty design of the blade guides. if you try to cut anything 3 inches or more the blade twist on an angle and touches the moveable shelf thereby damaging the blade. When ever I mount the grinder the whole assembly wobbles because the alignment of the pulley to the motor is not perfectly aligned. The list can go on and on. The only thing this saw is good for is cutting chicken."
