Replacement for gas gen in RV,
October 29, 2007

"Started having problems with the gas generator in my classic GMC motorhome. Bought the Guardian LP unit as a replacement. It came with a great manual with very clear instructions on options for installation, additional sound control, proper venting, etc. Mine was not a bolt-for-bolt replacement, but the closed in cabinet made it convenient to do a safe installation under the bed frame. Everything went together great and it's economical and much quieter. So, it sounds like I should have green it 5 stars; I docked one star only because in my situation, the case, which I like for some reasons, is the only thing that also gave me problems. Most of the operations are convenient to the one door, but the door wasn't particularly convenient to my generator door on the RV. And during installation, I often wished the case was not in my way. This is probably more a problem of my older RV than this unit, but it did cause some grief. So 4 stars; but call it a strong 4 or 4.5."
