Goldenrod Water Block filter elements do the job,
November 17, 2008
By JohnSC from Lafayette, LA
"These Goldenrod Water Block filter elements do exactly what they are intended to do, filter out water and sediment down to 15 microns from liquids other than water. Without the correct tool to undo the housing, changing them can sometimes be difficult. This though, is not the fault of the filter element. On some occassions when changing the filter element, the top of the element has come off, leaving me to fish-out the rest of the element out of the lower portion of the filter housing. All in all, I would have to say that after filtering 1000s of gallons of fuel, this would be my only complaint."

"This product has helped me to make sure the water stays out of
the fuel while making Bio diesel. Northern Tool and Equipment
sent the filter out to me in the nick of time. Thanks

Water Block filter element,
January 15, 2008
By Seminoletide from Calera, AL
"Does a good job of ensuring water not in fuel. Clogs quickly so if other sediment, etc in fuel, use another in line filter before fuel goes through this filter. If not, you'll have to purchase these filters more often and they are much more expensive to replace than standard non-water block filter elements."

A remedy for my house boiler,
January 14, 2008
By GeorgeG from Lubec, Maine
"Even though this filter is used for diesel engines, I use it on my house boiler.
This is something a boiler service tech might not recommend as it may put him out of business. One of the biggest problems for house boilers is condensation. Most of the time when you get fuel it is very cold. When the fuel passes through the line it warms up and causes condensation which is water
that could foul up your sensors and and other things that causes your boiler not to run right or may cause it to break down. I've been using this filter for six years and have to say it has not broken down since. Use the clear cannister filter and you can see and would be amazed at how much water goes into your boiler if you did not use this filter. A great product to save you money and stay warm."
