"I purchased this garage furnace based on, "on line reviews". This is my first heated garage.
The basic heater was easy to install, but keep in mind that the unit is heavy and is a two man job to hang the heather from the ceiling (call a friend). I did hire a heating and air guy run the gas line, and vent through the roof.
I am heating a well insulated 20' x 30' garage with 10' to 13' ceilings. Half of my garage has 10' ceilings, the other half of the garage has a 13' valted ceiling to accomidate a four post lift for my hot rod.
The heater works great. When I am not working in the garage I keep the garage at a constant temperature of 65 degrees F. When I work in the garage I up the temp to 70 degrees. It takes maybe 5 minutes to bring the garage up to my desired temperature.
The Heater did arrive with some slight cosmetic (shipping) damage, but Mr. Heater was easy to work with, and shipped the replacement part to my home with in four business days.
I live in a Kansas so the out side temperature can get down into the low teens and below zero at times. What has impressed me so far is the fact that my home gas bill has not shown a huge spike. So far maybe a 5% increase in usage for the garage.
The heater is quiet, and keeps me toasty while working on my latest project. I certainly would recomend this heater for the home owner"
