Exactly what I needed. Heater is hanging in a 24x28 shop with a 12 ft ceiling. I keep the thermostat at 40 when not using then turn up to 65 and within an hour its up to temp. Probably should mention it's insulated R19 walls and ceiling. Was originally going to purchase 2 but figured I'd install just one and add a second later if needed but unless something changes one is enough to do the job. Just installed a ceiling fan to help bring heat off ceiling but don't know how much that helps yet because weather warmed and heater is off right now
This is a great heater. I use it to warm an area that would be hard to heat the whole area and it works very well. The radiant heat creates a nice warm area that makes it nice to work in. The thermostat works well. My only problem with this heater is the fact that to turn it off you need a ladder. it works great on the thermostat so i would only need to do this spring and fall. I plan on adding two more of these heaters soon.
I have 3 of these for my 38'x48' hangar in Vermont. I got 3 because the gas company guy felt I'd need at least 100k BTU, plus they were on sale. Turns out, as I'd expected, one or 2 do the job just fine.
I went with more of lesser BTUs rather than fewer heaters of more BTUs because the higher BTU models require more ceiling clearance than I had available.
I've had them in for 3 years now, and all of them work flawlessly. I leave the thermostats set to about 35 degrees when I'm not there, and turn them up to about 60 when I am there working. They don't have to run very long after changing the thermostats from 35 to 60.
I bought this heater for a 24x36 out building with 12 ft. sidewalls.Building has some insulation but could use more. This heater provides instant clean smelling heat .I have found that the air temperature might not heat up real fast but I can feel the warmth from the heater if I'm within about a 15' diameter of the heater.I only use this building for about an hour or so at a time otherwise the heater is on pilot. It would probably be too powerful for any building smaller than mine,as it is pretty powerful and intense
I purchased one of these and it works great , Didn't know what I ever did without it. The keeps our garage warm during the winter mainly since the past few weeks we have had 2 feet of snow outside and temps are down to single digits. And every morning I can go out to my WARM car. Thanks for such a great product. Richard
