"Used it in garage in winter for outside pets. My garage isn't very well insulated but it kept the the garage above freezing on the lowest setting. 20# propane tank lasted almost 4 days on the low setting. high setting warmed up the area quickly but used a lot of propane. During really cold days, I kept it running non-stop and used about 2~ 20# tanks per week.
Would definately buy another one."

"I got this heater primarily to heat my garage when working on projects. This really does the trick (heats up my two-car garage to a comfortable temperature in no time). I also appreciate the safety features and the fact that it's safe to use indoors. I will take it hunting and camping as well because it's so small and portable. I don't plan on being cold, not when I can bring my little buddy along. :) I also purchased the 12 foot extension hose so you to connect a larger propane tank."

"I bought this item for my husband more than 5 years ago, we both used it for 3 years and I have had it for more than 2 years. This is one of the best products I have ever purchased. It is handy, safe and easy to operate. I travel in a 32 foot motor home with my 2 dogs and use my "Little Buddy" off and on all winter. I am not afraid to leave it on at night because it has the grates in front so if bumped by myself or pets there is no fear of being burnt. But the main features that I like the best is that is doesn't put out any fumes and that if it is knocked over it will shut it's self off. I would rate this product higher that a 5 if it was possible."

"This is an excellent heater. I have used it several times to unfreeze pipes (been down to -19 in Central NY), and I use it in my icefishing shanty. In below zero weather, I can fish in my t-shirt."

Good little heater,

"I've tried other small propane heaters to heat my tent while camping and they were either too weak or too noisy. This heater seems to be a good balance between output and saving fuel. The heater is strong enough to take the edge off a cold night while prepping for bed or while getting dressed in the morning. The small disposable propane cans give a few hours of heat on high and the instructions say that the low setting will run for 7 hours, which I haven't done, but seems believable.
My wife says that this heater is the best we've tried so far, and I'm willing to stop buying new models each season.
I also bought the hose and filter to hook up to a 5 gallon tank so that I could heat my shed a little, but I haven't had to try that out yet. The whole setup was a good price from Northern Tool, I couldn't find a lower price while I shopped around."

"I was introduce to the product by a friend who uses the single-bottle model to warm a small room on his houseboat on the coldest of nights.
When back home I bought a couple of the heaters for the offices of my wife and I. We sleep in a cold house but often arise early and want to work at our desks and don't want to have to wait for the furnace to warm things up. The Heater Buddy is just right on such occasions, not to mention when the electricity is off and our gas furnace has no power for its fans."

"Heater works great as a heat source. Used this in our locomotive when one of the 2 electric heaters went out. ( -13 degress below that morning). Great heat to keep the cab warm. Not recomended for large areas, great for camping and such!"

"I gotta say it's a great heater--like a portable fireplace. I like it so much that I just bought its big brother, Mr. Heater Big Buddy - the 2-tank model. The only other comment I have is that the oxygen sensor is sensitive and that's probably a good thing. I have to keep the bedroom door open for it to work without shutting off.
Get the 20-foot hose and adapter for using a 20-lb propane cylinder."

"Used the portable heater to heat my 40 foot houseboat. I hooked it up to a 40 lb. external tank to avoid changing the tank as often. I also used it to heat my enclosed pontoon boat using the one lb. tanks. This enabled me to use the pontoon all winter long no matter how cold it was. I would, and have, recommended the use of this heater to anyone interested."

"I purchased a Mr. Heater Portable Buddy Indoor/Outdoor Heater — Model# MH9B
for a week camping trip as a back up heater for our camper. Our battery was low after three days and the furnace went out. I fired up the Mr. Heater and we enjoyed the heat the heater put out better than the camper furnace! I recently used the Mr. Heater in my deer blind and was toasty warm. Five stars in my book!"
