"I bought this item so that I can hook my bbq up to a propane tree. It's nice to use the tree while camping with a lantern on top next to the bbq. This way you can see to cook at night and you can hook everything up to one bulk propane tank. I had one of these for the old POL connectors but now I can hook up the new style too."

"Handy little item to keep in the camping supply and at home for the bbq grill. I use it for a large 2 burner expedition stove on short trips when I don't want or need to carry a large propane bottle + the little 1 lbs are easier to pack in the truck."
