" I have used ours to get the temp to a reasonable working condition in the garage and thaw out the vehicles when it was -20 out. Have to use good sense when operating it and keep samall kids away, but it is very useful if you live where it is cold. Mine has been dependable and worthwhile. "

" I bought this for supplimental heat for my shop. My shop is well insulated and I needed a little something to take the edge off in the winter months. It is relatively quiet for a forced air heater, To make it ideal, it needs some of thermostat to control room temperature or it has the ability to run you out of the shop. A good value for the money. Model PT-35-HS Kerosene heater

" This heater performs quite well straight out of the box (after some very minor assembly.) Starts right up and runs without significant odor. Very quiet (No afterburner-like roar!), and heated my 26X38 garage from 18F to 60F in about 1/2 hour. Would be nice if it had a thermostat and an easier fill spout location though. Plan on using a long neck funnel or a siphon. "

Quiet and well made.

" Very happy with this heater. It's much quieter than the ReddyHeater 55k BTU unit I had that died an early death. Seems a lot better made than the ReddyHeater, too. I really like the timed cool down - after you turn the heater off, it runs for about 5 to 10 minutes to ensure it's cool inside. It uses a spark-ignition system, which will be much more durable than the hot-surface ignition used on the ReddyHeater.
Only downside is that the fuel filler cap is in an awkward location. If you want to fuel it from a pour-spout container (like the 5 gallon plastic Blitz kerosene jugs) it's quite difficult to get the spout into the fuel tank opening without spilling! I'll bet it works fine if one were to use a siphon-type filler. "

" I have a 20x30 uninsulated shop. It heats the whole area very nicely when the temp. is 30 degrees or above. It uses fuel at about what it advertises. Burns clean and very low noise. Well worth the price! "
