Falls short

"The outside appearance of the stove is good and may do fine for heating a small area. The firebox will handle enough wood to last all night. The fan is quiet but does not move much air. The overall weight of the stove is too light and tends to vibrate when using the attached fan."

Great for Moms

"Just a note to say that the stove works great with my 70 year old mom. It is easy for her to load wood and the ash removal tray is also user friendly and very safe for Mom. The stove burns and pulls wonderful and uses less wood than the expensive hard to use England stove we just replaced.
Great stove.......The only thing I wish it held a over night a little better. Have to reload once a night or build a new fire in the morning. Worth the little bit of extra trouble.
The blower is Awesome and heats 1400 sq feet easy on low.
Looking forward to our next electric bill."

Nice stove

"I have to disagree with the reviewer that says this has no smoke curtain. Go to US Stove and check their manual for #2941 and you can see the smoke curtain listed. This replaced a 30 year old Ashley. The firebox in this stove is shorter (23") and narrower than the Ashley but seems taller. I definitely recommend seasoning this one with a few small fires before putting it to hard use. The cons are my wood was cut for a larger firebox and the fan is a manual type not thermostatically controlled. This stove is in the basement of 3 story house and I let convection carry the heat throughout. I am satisfied with the stove and will recommend it. For the price I don't believe you can beat it. My burn time with dry oak runs about 4 to 5 hours on medium to low setting. You will have hot coals long after but to keep warm I have to add more wood about then. Once you get it warm the lower settings are all you will need."

Great Stove

"Used this stove since December 27, 2009. Had professional install with the SS piping kit. Well built, solid, puts off a lot of heat with minimal wood use if circulating air around stove. Love the fact that it is safe around grandchildren. Does not have a smoke curtain! Has a door to fire box that seals perfectly. Another door that is in the shell covering that makes it safe around children.
Tight, no smoke. Using solar panels and 12 V battery to power 3 120 mm fans attached to freestanding heat shield to provide constant, very quiet, air circulation. Friends and relatives that see stove, regret they purchased other makes. View of flames not as important as safety of this stove.

woodburner

"I've been using this woodburner for almost 2 months and it gives off a good amount of heat. I am however, disappointed with the fact that the smoke curtain has already fallen off and the gasket around the door is falling apart. The inner door doesn't stay open so it's tricky getting wood in quick enough before getting burned by the door closing in. I replaced my 30 yr. old woodburner with this one-I have my doubts if this one will last a fraction of that"
