"I have had this heater for years and was pretty satisfied. We used a portable fan to move the heat and that worked OK ... but I purchased the ProCom blower and the difference is unreal. The blower keeps the heat more even and the heat is distributed to a larger area. Installation was basic and straight forward, the instructions were not to good but the unit was pretty simple to install."

"A bit pricey, but that's the nature of the unit. The unit works very well, and was not at all difficult to install.
Northern Tool shipped the unit in the promised time with no delays. Overall, very satisified."

"This product does it's job well, however the instructions that come with the product are incomplete. There are wires that should be somehow tied away from the heat plate in the top of the heater. If this is not done the protective coating will melt and cause the wires to short out and will cause sparks to be blown out of heater. ( This is what happened to us!) The company was however prompt in delivering a new blower."

"Had fireplace for about three months with normal use only during day and now you can't watch tv without turning the tv up. We can tell from the other room when it is on just from the noise. The instructions are great if you have one of the models on the instructions but unfortunatly none of them are the ones northern tool sells. The corner propane fireplace works good. I would not buy this fan again if they are all like this."

"I got a vent free gas fireplace,it works so good!!! I thought it would only heat the area it is in, but come to find out, it heats the whole house upstairs and down. I would highly recommend one of these to anyone wanting the look and feel of a real wood stove."
