"I bought one of these when they first came out over ten years ago and it's still working perfectly. Not only that, it still looks pretty good, in spite of the salt that covers most of Minnesota every winter. The only thing I've ever done is to give the lockset a shot of lube every couple years so the lock stays free of corrosion, but I think the rubber cap does a great job protecting the locks innards, and is still pliable and free of cracks, even after all this time!
I've overloaded the trailer several times, causing me to worry about springs and tires, but have never worried about breaking this lock.
I spoke with a man last year who lost a boat tralier....he had a lock on the hitch but it never occurred to him that someone might just unplug his towbar from his receiver!
Protect your trailer - this is the best you can get!"

Bought kit w/this hitch lock plus 2 coupler locks

"I bought the kit version of this lock 4 or 5 years ago.
The kit included this hitch pin lock, a thinner diameter pin lock for locking the trailers coupler when hitched up, and a 'ball' lock for locking the trailers coupler when the trailer is not hitched up.
Very happy with all three locks. All 3 locks are keyed alike, which is really helpful! I trust the "Master Lock" name ... ie: nobody has taken my hitches or trailers.
Notes: I have squirted a bit of WD-40 into locks each fall which eases use in the winter and I grease the hitch pin locks shaft also to ease install/removal (especially helpful when 'sleave is used). There is some rust on outer (decorative chromed) parts of the hitch pin lock, but it still functions just fine."

"Nice that they included the shank to allow this to be used on either small or large receivers. also the rubber weather cap is a nice touch.
