"Great fan, lots of power. Actually bought to help vent the smoke out since we have a bad downdraft that blows the smoke back into our room.. Wish it came in black, other than that easy to install and lots of power."

Definitely Helps!

"I recently bought a house that had an addition put up years back. There is a 20 foot run of ducting from the furnace to that room and hardly any air was coming out of the register. Replacing the flex ducts with straight 6" steel and then coating the seams with mastic helped, but not quite enough. The room was still chilly in the winter and hot in the summer. I installed the 6" duct booster towards the end of the run and wired it to come on when the furnace blower started. It definitely boosts the amount of air coming in while not robbing air pressure from other rooms. As a bonus it is pretty quiet and doesn't use that much electricity."
